4. Setup Instructions

The ACMER P2-10W is designed for super easy installation, with 95% of the machine pre-assembled. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. The main frame is largely assembled.
  2. Laser Module Installation: Attach the laser module to the gantry. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Connect Cables: Connect the necessary power and data cables to the laser engraver and the laser module.
  4. Air Assist Connection: If using the air assist, connect it to the designated port on the laser module.
  5. Power On: Insert the machine key into the safety lock and turn it to the ON position. Press the power button to turn on the engraver.

5.2 Material Compatibility and Capabilities

The P2-10W can engrave or cut a variety of materials:

  • Engraving: Wood, bamboo, paper, acrylic, leather, PCB board, anodized aluminum, metal, cork, rock, glass.
  • Cutting: Effortlessly cuts through 8mm wood and 5mm acrylic board in a single pass. Max cutting capabilities include Plywood 15mm, Acrylic 12mm, MDF 8mm.

5.3 Precision and Speed

Utilizing industrial guide rails, the engraver ensures stability and motion precision with an accuracy of 0.01mm and repeatable positioning accuracy of 0.001mm. The 10W laser head provides an ultra-fine compressed spot of 0.08mm x 0.06mm. Maximum engraving speed is up to 30000mm/min.
