2. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Geevon Water Flow Meter:

  1. Battery Installation:
    • Use a tool to unscrew the battery cap in the unlock direction.
    • Insert one CR2032 3V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
    • Screw the cap back on in the lock direction to ensure a waterproof seal.
  2. Attaching to Hose:
    • Identify the water inlet and outlet on the flow meter (indicated by an arrow for flow direction).
    • Connect the inlet side of the flow meter to your water source (e.g., garden tap or hose).
    • Connect your watering device (e.g., nozzle, sprinkler) to the outlet side of the flow meter.
    • Ensure all connections are hand-tightened to prevent leaks.

3. Operating Instructions

The Geevon Water Flow Meter features a single button for all operations. The LCD display will automatically sleep if there is no operation or water flow for 1 minute.

Measurement Modes:

The device offers four distinct measurement modes:

  • Single Water Usage (Consumption Mode): Displays the water consumed during a single watering session.
  • Real-time Water Flow Rate (Flow Mode): Shows the current rate of water flow (e.g., gallons per minute or liters per minute).
  • 7-Day Average Water Consumption (Average Mode): Calculates and displays the average daily water consumption over the last seven days.
  • Total Water Consumption (Total Mode): Accumulates and displays the total water consumed since the last reset.

Button Functions:

  • Short Press: Switches between the four measurement modes (Consumption → Flow → Average → Total).
  • Long Press (in Flow Mode): Switches the units between gallons (GAL) and liters (L).
  • Long Press (in other modes - Consumption, Average, Total): Resets the displayed data for that specific mode.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your water flow meter.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, replace the CR2032 3V battery as described in the Setup section. Ensure the battery compartment is securely sealed after replacement to maintain its IPX6 waterproof rating.
  • Storage: If storing for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Geevon Water Flow Meter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Display or Dim Display:
    • Check the battery. Replace with a new CR2032 3V battery if necessary.
    • Ensure the battery is inserted with correct polarity.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Verify the flow meter is installed in the correct direction, indicated by the arrow.
    • Ensure there are no significant leaks in your hose connections.
    • The device has an accuracy of up to ±3%. Minor variations are normal.
  • Water Inside Battery Compartment:
    • Ensure the battery cap is fully tightened and properly sealed after battery installation or replacement.
    • If water ingress occurs, dry the compartment thoroughly and ensure a proper seal before further use.
  • Device Not Responding to Button Press:
    • The device may be in automatic sleep mode. Press the button once to wake it up.
