3. Pairing (If Needed)
The doorbell system is typically pre-paired at the factory. If the transmitter and receiver do not communicate, follow these steps to pair them:
- Plug in the receiver.
- Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a 'ding' sound and the LED indicator flashes. The receiver is now in pairing mode.
- Immediately press the transmitter (push button). The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
- Repeat for any additional transmitters or receivers.
Operating Instructions
1. Changing Melodies
The receiver offers 52 different melodies. To change the melody:
- Press the 'Next' or 'Previous' button on the side of the receiver to cycle through the available melodies.
- Once you find a desired melody, it will be set automatically.

2. Adjusting Volume Levels
The receiver has 5 adjustable volume levels, with a maximum volume of 115 dB. To adjust the volume:
- Press the 'Volume' button on the side of the receiver repeatedly to cycle through the 5 volume levels.
- The lowest setting is mute (0 dB).

3. Memory Function
The receiver features a memory function that preserves your last set melody and volume level even after a power outage. There is no need to reset your preferences.

4. Expandable Doorbell System
This doorbell system is expandable. You can add up to 2 additional transmitters and an unlimited number of receivers to create a customized alert system for your home or office. The system is compatible with AVANTEK CR-1 RB-1 plug-in receivers, CR-2 RB-2 transmitters, and other AVANTEK plug-in doorbell kits with 1 transmitter.

Maintenance
1. Transmitter Battery Replacement
The transmitter uses a CR2032 lithium battery with an approximate 3-year lifespan. When the transmitter's LED indicator no longer flashes or the signal weakens, it's time to replace the battery.
- Carefully open the transmitter casing using the provided screwdriver or a small flat-head screwdriver.
- Remove the old CR2032 battery.
- Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Close the transmitter casing securely.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and internal components.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound from Receiver:
- Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
- Check if the volume is set to mute (0 dB). Adjust the volume level.
- Re-pair the transmitter and receiver as described in the 'Setup' section.
- Transmitter Not Working:
- Replace the CR2032 battery in the transmitter.
- Ensure the transmitter is within the wireless range of the receiver (up to 1300 ft in open areas).
- Avoid placing the transmitter near large metal objects, as metal can interfere with the wireless signal.
- Short Wireless Range:
- Metal structures, thick walls, and other electronic devices can reduce the wireless range. Try relocating the receiver or transmitter.
- Ensure the transmitter battery is not low.
