3. Setup and Installation

The Camera Converter is designed for straightforward installation. It is compatible with vehicles that have an existing display (such as Android navigation, rearview mirror display) and a reverse camera. For factory-installed screens, decoding may be required before use.

Wiring Instructions:

  1. Red Wire: Connect to the ACC power positive pole.
  2. Black Wire: Connect to the ACC power negative pole (ground wire).
  3. Blue Wire: Connect to the reverse light.
  4. Small Red Wire (Camera Video Input): The small red wire at the temporary input port of the camera video should be connected to the positive pole of the front and rear camera power supply respectively.
  5. Small Red Wire (Video Output): The small red wire of the output port connects to the trigger wire of the display screen. If the original trigger line of the display screen is connected to the inverted headlight, it must be disconnected from the backlight first, then connected to this small red wire.

This setup allows for an additional front camera signal input without affecting the original reversing camera functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

The Camera Converter provides intelligent switching between front and rear cameras to assist with driving and parking.

Automatic Switching System:

  • Engine Start: Upon starting the vehicle's engine, the system will automatically display the front view for 8 seconds.
  • Reversing: When the vehicle is put into reverse, the system automatically activates the rear camera. After exiting reverse, it will switch to the front view for 15 seconds before returning to the normal display or turning off.

On-Demand Front View:

  • To activate the front camera view at any time, press the control switch. This will provide continuous monitoring of the forward view.
  • To deactivate the front view and return to the normal display, press the control switch again.
