3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to assemble your PC components within the Elite 301 chassis.

3.1 Preparing the Chassis

  1. Place the chassis on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Carefully remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the thumb screws at the rear and gently pulling it away. Set it aside on a soft, non-abrasive surface.
  3. Remove the rear metal side panel by unscrewing the two thumb screws and sliding it backward.

3.2 Motherboard Installation

  1. Install the I/O shield (if not pre-attached to your motherboard) into the chassis's rear opening.
  2. Align your Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs inside the chassis.
  3. Secure the motherboard using the provided screws.

3.3 Component Installation

Install your CPU cooler, graphics card, and power supply unit (PSU).

  • CPU Cooler: Install your CPU cooler (up to 163.5mm height) before or after motherboard installation, depending on its design.
  • Graphics Card (GPU): Remove the necessary expansion slot covers at the rear. Insert your GPU (up to 365mm length without front fans/radiator) into the PCIe slot and secure it with screws.
  • Power Supply Unit (PSU): Install the PSU (up to 160mm length) into the dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the chassis. Secure it with screws from the rear.
  • Storage Drives: Install 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" HDDs into the designated mounting points. The case provides space for two SSDs and one HDD.

3.4 Cable Management

Utilize the 18.5mm of cable routing space behind the motherboard tray to organize cables. Connect all necessary power cables from the PSU to your components (motherboard, GPU, drives) and data cables to your drives.

3.5 Fan and Radiator Installation (Optional)

The Elite 301 comes with three 120mm ARGB fans pre-installed at the front. Additional cooling can be installed as follows:

  • Front: Supports 1 x 280mm radiator or 2 x 140mm fans (in addition to the pre-installed 3 x 120mm fans).
  • Top: Supports 1 x 240mm radiator or 2 x 120mm fans.
  • Rear: Supports 1 x 120mm fan or 1 x 120mm radiator.

Ensure all fan and ARGB cables are connected to your motherboard or a compatible controller. The case includes pre-installed splitter cables for SYS_FAN and 3-Pin ARGB.

4. Operating Instructions

Once all components are installed and cables connected, you can power on your system.

4.1 Powering On

  1. Ensure the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position.
  2. Press the power button located on the top I/O panel of the chassis.

4.2 ARGB Fan Control

The pre-installed ARGB fans can be controlled via your motherboard's ARGB header and compatible software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync). Connect the 3-pin ARGB cable from the fans to your motherboard's ARGB header.

4.3 Front I/O Panel Usage

The top I/O panel provides convenient access to:

  • USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5Gbps) Port: For standard USB devices.
  • USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (5Gbps) Port: For modern USB-C devices.
  • 3.5mm Audio Combo Jack: For headphones with a combined microphone and audio jack.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your PC components.

5.1 Dust Filter Cleaning

The Elite 301 features magnetic dust filters at the top, bottom, and front to prevent dust buildup. Clean them regularly:

  1. Gently detach the magnetic dust filters.
  2. Use a soft brush, vacuum cleaner, or compressed air to remove accumulated dust.
  3. Reattach the filters securely.

5.2 Tempered Glass Panel Care

To clean the tempered glass side panel:

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of glass cleaner applied to the cloth (not directly to the glass).
  • Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could scratch or damage the glass.

6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter.

6.1 System Not Powering On

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the PSU and the wall outlet.
  • Check that the PSU's power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify that the front panel power button cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's F_PANEL header.
  • Confirm all internal power connections (24-pin ATX, CPU 8-pin, GPU PCIe power) are secure.

6.2 ARGB Fans Not Lighting Up

  • Ensure the 3-pin ARGB cable from the fans is correctly connected to a compatible 5V ARGB header on your motherboard. Do not connect to a 12V RGB header.
  • Check your motherboard's software for ARGB control and ensure lighting effects are enabled.
  • Verify fan power cables are connected to fan headers on the motherboard or a fan controller.

6.3 Poor Airflow or High Temperatures

  • Clean all dust filters (front, top, bottom).
  • Ensure fans are spinning correctly and are oriented for optimal airflow (intake at front, exhaust at rear/top).
  • Check for any obstructions inside the case that might impede airflow.
  • Verify CPU cooler and GPU cooler are properly seated and functioning.
