4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the e-reader. Connect the provided charging cable to the device's USB port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (5V, 500mA recommended, not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge takes approximately 10 hours.

4.2 Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device until the screen illuminates.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off prompt appears, then confirm.

4.3 Inserting a TF Card (Optional)

To expand storage, insert a TF (microSD) card (up to 32 GB, not included) into the designated card slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place. To remove, gently push the card inward until it springs out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Navigation

The e-reader operates using physical buttons located on the right side of the device. Use the directional pad and selection button to navigate through menus and select options. The independent flip-book button allows for quick page turning during reading.

5.2 Reading E-books

To read an e-book:

1. From the main menu, navigate to "My Bookshelf" or "E-book".
2. Select the desired e-book file (supported formats: EPUB, PDF, TXT, FB2, PDB).
3. Use the flip-book button or directional controls to turn pages.
4. Adjust brightness or other settings via the menu options during reading.

5.3 Media Playback

The device supports various media types:

• Music: Navigate to "Music" from the main menu. Supported formats include common audio files. Connect the included headphones for private listening.
• Video: Navigate to "Video" from the main menu. Supported formats include MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4XVID, H.264, H.263, RM/RMVB, MKV, MOV, VOB, FLV.
• Photos: Navigate to "Pictures" from the main menu. Supported formats include JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG.

Ensure media files are stored in compatible formats on the device's internal memory or inserted TF card.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the e-reader, gently wipe the screen and body with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture.

6.2 Storage

Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided leather case to protect the screen and body from scratches and minor impacts when not in use or during transport.

6.3 Waterproof Feature

The e-reader features a waterproof design for splash protection. While it can withstand splashes, it is not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing the device to heavy rain or submerging it in any liquid.
