Introduction

The Solareye 4G Cellular Security Camera is designed for robust, off-grid surveillance in locations without Wi-Fi access. Powered by a solar panel and equipped with a built-in 4G SIM card, this camera provides continuous monitoring with 2K resolution, PTZ capabilities, color night vision, and two-way audio. It is ideal for farms, RVs, remote cabins, and other areas requiring reliable security without traditional internet or power infrastructure.

Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's built-in battery using the provided USB-C charging cable. This ensures optimal performance and battery life.

2. SIM Card and Micro SD Card Installation

The camera comes with a pre-installed 4G SIM card for Verizon/AT&T/T-Mobile coverage. For local storage, insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the designated slot. The slots are located under a protective cover on the camera body.

3. App Download and Registration

Download the 'Morecam' app from your smartphone's app store. Register a new account and log in to begin the camera setup process.

4. Mounting and Installation

Choose a suitable location for the camera and solar panel. Ensure the solar panel receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for continuous charging. Avoid directing the camera lens directly into the sun to prevent overexposure. The camera is IP66 waterproof, suitable for various outdoor conditions.

Operating the Camera

Live View and PTZ Control

Access the live feed through the Morecam app. Use the PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) controls within the app to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle (355° pan, 120° tilt) and utilize the 8X digital zoom to cover every angle of your property.

Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features PIR motion and human shape detection with a 10-meter range and 120° field of view. Upon detection, it sends instant alerts to your phone with video playback and can trigger sound-light alarms.

Color Night Vision and Two-Way Audio

Equipped with spotlights, the camera provides full-color night vision, allowing clear observation in low-light conditions. The built-in two-way audio feature enables real-time communication through the camera.

Storage Options

Recordings can be saved locally on a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) or to the cloud storage service (30-day trial included).

Smart Home Integration

The Solareye camera is compatible with Alexa and Google Home, allowing voice commands to view live feeds (e.g., “Alexa, show my barn camera”).

Maintenance

• Solar Panel Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging.
• Battery Monitoring: Check the battery status via the Morecam app. While solar-powered, prolonged periods of low sunlight may require manual charging via the USB-C port.
• Firmware Updates: Keep the camera's firmware updated through the Morecam app to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
• Environmental Protection: The camera is IP66 waterproof, designed to withstand various weather conditions. However, ensure all ports are securely sealed after accessing them.

Troubleshooting

• Camera Offline: Ensure the camera is powered on and the SIM card has active data. Check the 4G signal strength in the app. Relocate the camera if the signal is weak.
• Battery Draining Quickly: Verify the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight for several hours daily. Reduce motion detection sensitivity or recording duration if battery drain persists.
• Motion Detection Not Working: Check PIR detection settings in the app. Ensure the camera's field of view is clear and not obstructed. Avoid placing the camera facing busy roads or highly trafficked areas if unwanted alerts are an issue.
• No Video/Poor Quality: Check the Micro SD card for proper insertion and sufficient space. Ensure good 4G signal strength for optimal streaming quality.
• App Connection Issues: Restart the camera and your smartphone. Ensure the Morecam app is updated to the latest version.
