7. Maintenance & Cleaning
7.1 Self-Cleaning Function
To use the self-cleaning mode, fill the inner bucket with water up to the indicated fill line. Select the 'Self-Cleaning' mode on the control panel. The unit will clean itself, and the dirty water can then be safely poured onto plants as a nutrient boost.
7.2 Inner Bucket Cleaning
The inner bucket is removable and dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning. Ensure the main unit is never immersed in water.
7.3 Filter Replacement
The carbon filters should be replaced approximately every 1000 hours of use. The device will provide a notification when it's time to replace the filter to maintain optimal odor control.
8. Compost Usage
The resulting dry compost is an excellent organic fertilizer. For best results, mix the compost with soil at a 1:10 ratio (1 part compost to 10 parts soil) before adding it to your garden or potted plants. This enriches the soil and promotes healthy plant growth.
9. Troubleshooting
9.1 Odor Persists
- Ensure carbon filters are correctly installed and not expired. Replace if necessary.
- Verify that only acceptable food waste is being composted.
- Avoid overloading the composter, especially with moisture-rich items.
- Run an additional cycle for moisture-rich foods if needed.
9.2 Abnormal Alarm
If an abnormal alarm sounds, refer to the user manual for specific error codes and recommended solutions. This may indicate an issue with the load or internal components.
