3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, tape, and any internal components like the ice basket and scoop.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker, including the water reservoir, ice basket, and ice scoop, with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
3. Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 6 inches of space on all sides). Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
4. Power Connection: Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Add Water:

   The ZAFRO ice maker offers two ways to add water:

   • Manual Fill: Open the top lid and pour potable water directly into the internal water tank (1.5L capacity) up to the "MAX" fill line.
   • External Water Tank: Fill the removable 0.5L external water tank located on top of the unit and place it securely.

4. Operation

1. Power On: Press the "ON/OFF" button on the control panel to start the ice making process. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Select Ice Thickness: Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the control panel to adjust the ice making time, which determines the ice cube thickness.
   • Shorter time for thinner ice.
   • Longer time for thicker ice.
3. Ice Production: The ice maker will begin producing ice. The first batch typically takes 7-9 minutes. Subsequent batches may be faster.

4. Monitoring: The LCD display will show alerts for "Water Shortage" (add more water) and "Ice Full" (empty the ice basket). The ice symbol on the display flashes to indicate the ice making process is nearing completion.
5. Collecting Ice: Once ice is produced, use the provided ice scoop to transfer ice from the basket.
6. Power Off: Press the "ON/OFF" button again to turn off the ice maker.

5. Maintenance

Automatic Cleaning Function

The ice maker features an automatic cleaning function to ensure clean and healthy ice. To activate:

1. Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water.
2. Press and hold the "+" button for 5 seconds. The cleaning cycle will begin and typically lasts for 20 minutes.
3. After the cleaning cycle, drain the water from the unit.

Regular Cleaning and Storage

• Daily Cleaning: For optimal performance and hygiene, it is recommended to clean the ice maker regularly, especially if used frequently.
• Draining Water: Always drain any remaining water from the reservoir after each use or before storing the appliance.
• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: If storing for an extended period, ensure the unit is completely dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
