Operating Instructions

Preparing Hard-Boiled Eggs

  1. Fill the measuring cup with cold water up to the "HARD" line.
  2. Use the piercing pin located at the bottom of the measuring cup to gently puncture the large end of each egg. This helps prevent cracking during cooking.
  3. Place the eggs onto the egg holder with the punctured end facing upwards. The cooker can accommodate up to 7 eggs.
  4. Pour the measured water onto the heating plate of the main unit.
  5. Place the egg holder with eggs onto the heating plate.
  6. Cover the unit with the transparent lid. Ensure the lid is not locked, as steam needs to escape.
  7. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  8. Press the power button to start cooking. The indicator light will illuminate.
  9. Once cooking is complete (approximately 12 minutes), the unit will automatically shut off and emit an audible chime.
  10. Carefully remove the lid (steam will be hot) and transfer the cooked eggs to an ice bath or cold water immediately to stop the cooking process and facilitate easy peeling.

Preparing Soft or Medium-Boiled Eggs

Follow the same steps as for hard-boiled eggs, but adjust the water level in the measuring cup to the "SOFT" or "MEDIUM" line according to your preference.

Preparing Poached Eggs

  1. Lightly grease the poaching tray with cooking spray or a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Crack 1-2 eggs directly into the poaching tray compartments.
  3. Fill the measuring cup with cold water up to the "POACH" line.
  4. Pour the measured water onto the heating plate.
  5. Place the poaching tray onto the egg holder, then place the assembly onto the heating plate.
  6. Cover with the transparent lid and press the power button.
  7. The unit will chime and shut off when done. Carefully remove the poaching tray.

Preparing Omelets or Scrambled Eggs

  1. Lightly grease the omelet bowl with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
  2. Whisk 1-2 eggs with desired ingredients (cheese, vegetables, etc.) in a separate bowl, then pour into the omelet bowl.
  3. Fill the measuring cup with cold water up to the "OMELET" line.
  4. Pour the measured water onto the heating plate.
  5. Place the omelet bowl onto the egg holder, then place the assembly onto the heating plate.
  6. Cover with the transparent lid and press the power button.
  7. The unit will chime and shut off when done. Carefully remove the omelet bowl.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  • Removable Parts: The egg holder, poaching tray, omelet bowl, measuring cup, and lid are top-rack dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Heating Plate: After use, mineral deposits may form on the heating plate. To remove these, pour 1/4 cup of white vinegar onto the heating plate and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do NOT immerse the main unit in water.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Storage

Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. The accessories can be conveniently stored inside the main unit for compact storage.

Troubleshooting

Eggs not cooked to desired consistency:

  • Solution: Ensure the correct amount of water was used according to the measuring cup markings for your desired egg consistency. Water quality (hard vs. soft water) can also slightly affect cooking times.

Eggs cracking during cooking:

  • Solution: Always use the piercing pin on the large end of the egg before placing it in the cooker. This releases pressure during steaming. Ensure eggs are at room temperature before cooking.

Unit not turning on:

  • Solution: Check if the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Ensure the power button is fully pressed.

Mineral deposits on heating plate:

  • Solution: This is normal. Refer to the "Cleaning" section for instructions on how to remove mineral deposits using white vinegar.
