2. Safety Instructions
- Always ensure the pump is connected to a grounded power outlet.
- Do not operate the pump with damaged cables or plugs.
- Avoid touching the pump or its connections with wet hands.
- Ensure the pump is stable and securely placed before operation.
- The pump is equipped with an overheat overload protection device. If the motor overheats, it will automatically shut down. Disconnect power and allow the pump to cool naturally before restarting.
- Only pump clean water. Pumping dirty or abrasive liquids can damage the pump. A filter net is recommended for water intake.
- Keep children and pets away from the operating pump.
3. Product Components
The Poafamx Electric Well Pump 370W includes the main pump unit and two 1-inch (32mm outer diameter) connectors.

Figure 2: Pump Components (Inlet, Outlet, Drain Plug)
- Pump Head: Made of stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance.
- Motor: Efficient motor designed for low noise operation.
- Base: Iron base provides stability during operation.
- Cooling Vents: Designed for effective heat dissipation, extending pump lifespan.
- Connectors: Two 1-inch (32mm outer diameter) connectors for hose attachment.
4. Setup
4.1 Connecting Hoses
- Attach the provided 1-inch (32mm outer diameter) connectors to the pump's inlet and outlet ports.
- Securely connect your water hoses to these connectors. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks and maintain prime.
- If using different sized pipes, a conversion interface may be required (not included).
4.2 Priming the Pump (Before First Use or After Dry Running)
Before starting the pump, it is crucial to prime it by filling the pump casing with water.
- Locate the water outlet port on the pump.
- Pour clean water into the water outlet until the pump casing is at least half full. This ensures proper suction.
- Ensure the suction hose is submerged in the water source.

4.3 Placement
Place the pump on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the motor for proper cooling.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Pump
- After connecting hoses and priming the pump, plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Turn on the power switch. The pump will begin to operate.
- If a check valve is installed, allow some time for the machine to automatically expel air. Filling the suction pipe with water before starting can reduce waiting time.

5.2 Pumping Methods
The pump supports two main pumping methods:
- Self-priming from wells/ponds: The pump can draw water from shallow wells, ponds, or standing water by submerging the suction hose.
- Direct connection to faucets/discharge pipes: The pump can be directly connected to existing water systems for boosting pressure or transferring water.

5.3 Important Considerations During Operation
- Ensure the suction hose is free of kinks or bends, as this can affect water flow.
- Only pump clean water. Using a filter net on the suction end is highly recommended to prevent debris from entering and damaging the pump.

6. Maintenance
6.1 After Each Use
- Disconnect the pump from the power supply.
- If a filter net was used, clean it thoroughly.
6.2 Storage (When Not in Use for Extended Periods)
To prevent damage and extend the pump's lifespan, follow these storage guidelines:
- Disconnect the pump from the power supply.
- Drain any remaining water from the pump. This can typically be done via a drain plug or by tilting the pump.
- Wipe the pump dry to prevent rust and corrosion.
- Store the pump in a dry, protected location, away from extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start | No power supply; Overload protection activated; Motor fault. | Check power connection and outlet. If overload protection activated, disconnect power, allow to cool, then restart. Contact support if motor fault suspected. |
| Pump runs but no water flows | Pump not primed; Suction hose not submerged; Air leak in suction line; Clogged suction filter. | Prime the pump (Section 4.2). Ensure suction hose is fully submerged. Check all suction connections for tightness. Clean or replace suction filter. |
| Reduced water flow/pressure | Partial clog in suction/discharge line; Kinked hose; Low water level in source. | Check and clear any blockages. Straighten hoses. Ensure adequate water supply. |
| Pump is noisy or vibrates excessively | Unstable placement; Air in pump/lines; Internal damage. | Ensure pump is on a stable, level surface. Bleed air from the system. If noise persists, contact support. |
