4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Battery Installation

The PB96R motion detector is powered by one AAA battery. Open the battery compartment, insert the battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-), and then close the compartment securely.

4.2 Mounting Location

4.3 Mounting the Detector

1. Carefully open the detector casing to access the mounting holes.
2. Use the provided screws to secure the back plate of the detector to the chosen wall location. Alternatively, use the adhesive pad for a less permanent installation.
3. Reattach the main body of the detector to the secured back plate, ensuring it clicks into place.

4.4 Pairing with Alarm System

The PB96R detector operates at 433MHz and is designed for compatibility with LWOHSI alarm systems. To pair the detector with your alarm panel:

1. Refer to your specific LWOHSI alarm system's user manual for detailed instructions on adding new wireless sensors.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Detection Principle

The PB96R utilizes Passive Infrared (PIR) technology. It detects changes in infrared radiation emitted by moving objects with body heat, such as humans. When a significant change in infrared levels is detected within its 12-meter range, the detector triggers an alarm signal and transmits it wirelessly to the paired alarm panel.

5.2 Pet Immunity Function

The detector is designed with pet immunity for animals weighing up to 15kg. This feature helps prevent false alarms from household pets. For optimal performance of the pet immunity feature, ensure the detector is mounted at the recommended height and not aimed directly at areas where pets frequently jump or climb, as this could place them outside the intended pet-immune zone.

5.3 Low Battery Alert

When the battery voltage is low, the detector will automatically send a low battery signal to the alarm panel. Upon receiving this alert, replace the AAA battery promptly to ensure continuous and reliable protection.
