Setup and Installation
1. Physical Installation
The AP1200F supports both wall-mounted and pole-mounted installations. Choose a location that provides optimal signal coverage and is protected from direct impact.

2. Power Connection
The device supports two power supply methods:
- PoE (Power over Ethernet): Connect an Ethernet cable from the PoE module to the WAN/PoE port on the AP1200F. The PoE module will supply both power and data.
- 12V DC Adapter: Connect a 12V DC power adapter (not included, but supported) to the DC power input port on the AP1200F.
3. Antenna Installation
Carefully screw the two 5dBi detachable antennas onto the antenna connectors on the top of the AP1200F unit. Ensure they are securely fastened but do not overtighten.

Operating Modes and Configuration
The KuWFi AP1200F supports multiple operating modes to suit different network requirements.

1. AP/Router Mode
In this mode, the AP1200F acts as a primary router or an access point connected directly to your modem or existing router, providing a new wireless network.
- Connect the WAN port of the AP1200F to your modem or router using an Ethernet cable.
- Access the device's web interface (refer to the default IP address in the specifications section) to configure WAN settings (Static IP, DHCP, or PPPOE) and wireless network details (SSID, password).

2. Repeater Mode
Repeater mode extends the range of an existing WiFi network. The AP1200F connects wirelessly to your current router and re-broadcasts the signal.
- Power on the AP1200F.
- Connect a computer or mobile device to the AP1200F's default WiFi network (SSID and password can be found on the device label or in specifications).
- Open a web browser and navigate to the device's web interface.
- Select "Repeater Mode" from the operating mode options.
- Scan for nearby WiFi signals and select the network you wish to extend.
- Enter the correct WiFi password for the selected network.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup. The AP1200F will then extend the chosen WiFi network.

3. AP+Repeater Mode
This mode combines the functionality of an Access Point and a Repeater, allowing for extended coverage and additional wired connections.
- Similar to Repeater mode, but the device may also offer additional LAN ports for wired connections or create a separate SSID.
- Refer to the device's web interface for specific configuration options for this combined mode.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Environmental Protection: Although IP65 rated, avoid exposing the device to extreme conditions beyond its specified operating temperature range (-30°C to 55°C).
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the KuWFi official website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Antenna Care: Ensure antennas are securely attached. If signal degradation occurs, check antenna connections.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
No Power/Device Not Turning On | Incorrect power connection; Faulty power adapter/PoE injector. | Ensure power cable is securely connected. Verify power source is active. Test with another power adapter/PoE injector if available. |
No Internet Connection | Incorrect operating mode configuration; WAN cable disconnected; ISP issue. | Check operating mode settings in the web interface. Ensure WAN cable is properly connected. Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if other devices also have no internet. |
Weak WiFi Signal/Poor Coverage | Improper device placement; Obstructions; Antenna issues. | Relocate the AP1200F to a more central location with fewer obstructions. Ensure antennas are securely attached and oriented correctly. |
Cannot Access Web Interface | Incorrect IP address; Network configuration issue on client device. | Verify the default IP address (check device label or manual). Ensure your computer/device is connected to the AP1200F's network. Try resetting network settings on your device. |
