2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking

- Wash the water tank, portafilter, filter baskets, milk jug, and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

4.3 Water Tank Installation
- Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold filtered water up to the MAX line. Do not use hot water or other liquids.
- Place the water tank back into its position, ensuring it is seated correctly.
4.4 Power Connection
- Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (120V).
4.5 First Use / Priming
Before brewing coffee or frothing milk for the first time, it is recommended to prime the system:
- Turn on the machine using the Power button. The machine will begin to heat up.
- Once heated, place a large cup under the brew head.
- Press the "Single" or "Double" button to run water through the brew head for approximately 30 seconds.
- Place a cup under the steam wand. Turn the rotary knob to the "Hot Water" position to dispense hot water for about 30 seconds.
- Turn the rotary knob back to the neutral position. The machine is now primed and ready for use.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Grinding Coffee Beans
- Ensure the bean hopper is filled with fresh, whole coffee beans.
- Adjust the grind setting using the dial inside the bean hopper. There are 30 adjustable grind settings, from coarse (30) to fine (0). For espresso, a finer grind (typically between 5-15) is recommended.
- Insert the portafilter into the grinder outlet.
- Press the "Grind" button once for a single shot grind duration (default 9 seconds) or twice for a double shot grind duration. The grinder will automatically stop.
- Remove the portafilter and tamp the ground coffee firmly and evenly using the provided tamper.

5.2 Brewing Espresso (Single/Double Shot)
- After grinding and tamping, securely lock the portafilter into the brew head.
- Place one or two pre-warmed espresso cups on the drip tray, directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the "Single" button for a single shot (approximately 2 oz) or the "Double" button for a double shot (approximately 3.7 oz). The machine will automatically pre-infuse and then brew the espresso.
- The brewing process will stop automatically. For manual control, press the button again to stop brewing at your desired volume.

5.3 Milk Frothing
- Fill the milk jug with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Position the steam wand over the drip tray and turn the rotary knob to the "Steam" position to purge any condensed water. Turn it back to the neutral position.
- Insert the steam wand into the milk, just below the surface.
- Turn the rotary knob to the "Steam" position. Lower the jug slightly to introduce air for frothing, then raise it to heat the milk.
- Once the desired texture and temperature are reached, turn the rotary knob back to the neutral position and remove the milk jug.
- Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

5.4 Hot Water Dispensing
- Place a cup under the steam wand.
- Turn the rotary knob to the "Hot Water" position. Hot water will dispense from the steam wand.
- Turn the knob back to the neutral position to stop dispensing.
5.5 Cup Warming
The top surface of the espresso machine acts as a cup warmer. Place your espresso cups on this surface before brewing to pre-heat them, which helps maintain the temperature of your coffee.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
