Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures your vacuum operates efficiently and extends its lifespan.

1. Emptying the Dust Cup

  1. Press the dust cup release latch and lift the dust cup off the vacuum pod.
  2. Hold the dust cup over a trash bin and press the bottom release latch to open the bottom flap.
  3. Tap gently to remove any lodged debris. Close the flap securely.

2. Cleaning Filters

To maintain optimal suction, regularly clean the filters. Rinse filters with cold water only and allow them to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.

  • Foam and Felt Filters: Located above the dust cup. Rinse every 3 months.
  • HEPA Filter: Located at the bottom of the vacuum pod. Rinse once a year.

3. Brushroll Maintenance

Periodically check the brushrolls for any debris, string, or hair that may be wrapped around them. Use scissors to carefully cut away any obstructions. The self-cleaning brushroll feature minimizes this, but occasional checks are recommended.

4. Odor Neutralizer Cartridge

The Odor Neutralizer Technology cartridge should be replaced periodically to maintain its effectiveness. Refer to the product packaging for replacement frequency. To replace, locate the cartridge slot on the floor nozzle, twist to unlock, remove the old cartridge, and insert a new one, twisting to lock it in place.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your vacuum, consult the following common solutions:

  • Vacuum not picking up debris or no suction:
    • Check if the dust cup is full and empty it.
    • Inspect filters for clogging and clean them as per maintenance instructions.
    • Check for blockages in the hose, wand, or floor nozzle.
    • Ensure all connections are securely clicked into place.
  • Brushrolls not spinning:
    • Ensure the vacuum is in the correct floor setting (Carpet mode for brushroll activation).
    • Check the floor nozzle for any obstructions preventing the brushrolls from rotating.
    • Verify that the vacuum pod is securely attached to the floor nozzle.
  • Vacuum turns off on its own:
    • The vacuum may have overheated. Turn off the vacuum, unplug it, and clear any blockages. Allow it to cool for at least 45 minutes before restarting.
    • Ensure filters are clean and dry.
