4. Operating Instructions

Trimmer and Edger Functionality

The SUNCHERS string trimmer functions as both a trimmer and an edger. To switch between modes:

  • For trimming, hold the tool with the cutting head parallel to the ground.
  • To use as an edger, rotate the direction of the head (ensure the staff is rotated to 0° before rotating the head). The integrated wheel assists in precise edging along paths and driveways.

5. Maintenance

Replacing the Spool Line

The product includes 8 extra coils (spools) for continued use. When the cutting line on the current spool runs out or becomes too short, replace it with a new one. Refer to the auto-feed head section for proper line installation.

Cleaning and Storage

  • Always remove the battery before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • Clean the trimmer head and safety guard regularly to remove grass clippings and debris. Use a damp cloth; do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Store the trimmer in a dry, secure location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SUNCHERS string trimmer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Trimmer Not Starting: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Press the safety lock button before engaging the trigger switch.
  • Reduced Performance/Weak Cutting: Check if the cutting line is too short or worn out. Replace the spool if necessary. Ensure the battery is fully charged. The trimmer is designed for normal length and thickness weeds; it may struggle with tough or dense vegetation.
  • Line Not Feeding Automatically: Inspect the auto-feed head for any obstructions or tangled line. Ensure the spool is correctly installed.
  • Excessive Vibration: Check for any loose components or damaged cutting line. Ensure all parts are securely assembled.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
