Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your VTech IS8151 Super Long Range DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone system. Setup
1. Installing the Battery
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
- Connect the battery pack plug securely into the jack inside the compartment.
- Place the battery pack with the label UP and tuck the wires neatly inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks.
2. Connecting the Base Unit
- Plug the small end of the AC adapter into the power jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the large end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
- Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
3. Charging the Handset
Place the handset in the base unit or charger with the display facing up. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow at least 16 hours for the battery to fully charge before initial use.

Operating Instructions
Making and Receiving Calls
- To make a call: Press HOME/FLASH or CELL 1/CELL 2, then dial the number.
- To answer a call: Press any dialing key (1-9, *, #), HOME/FLASH, or CELL 1/CELL 2.
- To end a call: Press OFF/CANCEL or place the handset in the charger.
Bluetooth Connect to Cell
This feature allows you to connect your cellular phone(s) to the VTech IS8151 system via Bluetooth, enabling you to make and receive cell calls using your cordless handsets. You can pair up to two cell phones or one cell phone and a Bluetooth headset.
- Pairing a Cell Phone:
- On the base unit, press and hold CELL 1 or CELL 2 until the Bluetooth light flashes.
- Enable Bluetooth on your cell phone and search for available devices.
- Select "VTech IS8151" from the list. If prompted, enter the PIN (usually 0000).
- Once paired, the corresponding CELL light on the base unit will turn solid.
- Making/Receiving Cell Calls: Use the CELL 1 or CELL 2 buttons on the handset or base to initiate or answer calls through your paired cell phone.
- Voice Assistant Access: Press and hold the VOICE button on the handset to activate Siri, S Voice, or Google Now on your paired cell phone.

Smart Call Blocker
The Smart Call Blocker helps filter robocalls and unwanted calls. It allows important calls to pass through while blocking nuisance callers.
- Blocking a Call: During a call or when the phone is ringing, press the CALL BLOCK button on the handset or base unit to add the number to the block list.
- Screening Calls: When an unknown number calls, the system can prompt the caller to announce their name. You can then choose to block, answer, or send the call to the answering system.

Digital Answering System
The integrated digital answering system records up to 22 minutes of messages, announcements, and memos. A voice guide assists with setup.
- Playing Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit to listen to messages.
- Recording Announcements: Follow the voice guide prompts to record your outgoing message.
- Message Counter: The LED message counter on the base unit displays the number of new messages.
