3. Product Overview

The ASUS ROG Keris II Ace is a lightweight, ergonomic gaming mouse designed for precision and comfort. It features tri-mode connectivity, a high-precision optical sensor, and durable optical micro switches.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the mouse. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-A ROG Paracord cable to the mouse's front port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer.

4.2 Connectivity Options

The ROG Keris II Ace supports three connection modes: 2.4 GHz RF Wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C Wired.

4.2.1 2.4 GHz RF Wireless Mode

  1. Locate the USB dongle stored in the mouse's underside compartment.
  2. Plug the USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer. For optimal performance, use the included USB dongle extender to position the dongle closer to the mouse.
  3. Switch the mode selector switch on the bottom of the mouse to the 2.4 GHz position.
  4. The mouse should automatically connect.

4.2.2 Bluetooth Mode

  1. Switch the mode selector switch on the bottom of the mouse to the Bluetooth position.
  2. On your computer, navigate to Bluetooth settings and initiate a device search.
  3. Select "ROG Keris II Ace" from the list of available devices to pair.

4.2.3 USB-C Wired Mode

  1. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-A ROG Paracord cable to the mouse and your computer.
  2. The mouse will automatically switch to wired mode and begin charging.

4.3 Software Installation (Armoury Crate)

For full customization of DPI settings, button assignments, lighting, and polling rate, download and install the ASUS Armoury Crate software from the official ASUS support website. This software allows for fine-tuning of mouse performance to suit individual preferences.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 DPI Adjustment

The ROG Keris II Ace features an ROG AimPoint Pro 42K Sensor, offering precise tracking. DPI (Dots Per Inch) can be adjusted via the dedicated DPI button on the mouse or through the Armoury Crate software. The software allows for custom DPI stages and profiles.

5.2 Polling Rate

The mouse supports various polling rates. When using the 2.4 GHz RF wireless mode with the ROG Polling Rate Booster, you can achieve up to 4K Hz wireless polling rate. In wired mode, up to 8K Hz polling rate is supported. Higher polling rates provide faster response times. Adjustments can be made via Armoury Crate.

5.3 Button Customization

The mouse is equipped with ROG Optical Micro Switches, rated for 100 million clicks, ensuring consistent and instant actuation. All buttons are programmable via the Armoury Crate software, allowing you to assign macros, media controls, or other functions.

5.4 Battery Life Indicator

The scroll wheel LED typically indicates battery status. Refer to the Armoury Crate software for detailed battery percentage and to customize low battery warnings. The mouse offers up to 107 hours of battery life depending on usage and settings.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean your mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the device. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a cool, dry place. Ensure the battery is not fully depleted before storage to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting
