3. Setup and Refilling Instructions

Your HONEST torch lighter is shipped without butane gas. Please follow these steps carefully to refill the lighter before first use.

Refilling Procedure:

1. Place the lighter upside down on a stable, flat surface.
2. Insert the nozzle of a universal butane gas container firmly and vertically into the fill valve located at the bottom of the lighter.
3. Press down for approximately 10-15 seconds until the tank is filled. You may hear a hissing sound as gas transfers.
4. After refilling, wait a few minutes (at least 3-5 minutes) before attempting to ignite the lighter. This allows the inner gas pressure to stabilize.

Ignition:

To ignite the lighter, simply slide up the Piezo Ignition switch. The lighter is designed for effortless one-hand operation and can be used at any angle, including upside down.

Flame Adjustment:

The lighter features an adjustable temperature regulator. Use a thin screwdriver to turn the adjusting ring (B) at the base of the lighter: turn towards '+' to increase the flame size and intensity, or towards '-' to decrease it. The flame temperature can reach up to 1300 °C (2372 °F).

A1: This often indicates that there is still gas or air remaining in the lighter's tank. Release any residual gas before attempting to refill. This can be done by pressing the fill valve with a small tool until no more gas escapes.

Q2: Flame bursts excessively or is too large.

A2: The gas flow is too high. Adjust the gas flow regulator (ring B) towards the '-' symbol using a thin screwdriver to decrease the flame size.

Q3: Flame is very small or flickers.

A3: The gas flow is too low. Adjust the gas flow regulator (ring B) towards the '+' symbol using a thin screwdriver to increase the flame size.

Q4: The lighter does not ignite itself.

A4: This suggests an issue with the spark mechanism. If the spark mechanism is broken, please contact customer support for a replacement.
