3. Setup and Initial Operation
3.1 Setting the Time
- Gently pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) out to position 2. You may feel a slight click.
- Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 (original position) to engage the movement and start the watch. Ensure the crown is fully screwed down to maintain water resistance.
3.2 Setting the Date
- Gently pull the crown out to position 1. This is typically a half-pull from the fully pushed-in position.
- Rotate the crown clockwise to advance the date. Do not attempt to set the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. If the current time falls within this period, first adjust the time outside this window, then set the date, and finally reset the time.
- Once the date is set, push the crown back into position 0. Ensure the crown is fully screwed down.

4. Operating Your Watch
4.1 Daily Wear
Your RAYMOND WEIL Tango Classic watch is designed for daily wear. The stainless steel bracelet is durable and comfortable. Ensure the clasp is securely fastened to prevent accidental loss.
4.2 Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM / 330 feet). This rating means it is suitable for swimming, showering, and general water activities. However, it is not designed for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or pushers (if any) while the watch is wet or submerged.
5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, clean the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by thorough rinsing with clean water and drying with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
5.2 Battery Replacement
As a quartz watch, your timepiece is powered by a battery. The battery life typically ranges from 2 to 5 years, depending on usage. When the battery needs replacement, it is highly recommended to have it done by an authorized RAYMOND WEIL service center or a qualified watchmaker. This ensures proper sealing for water resistance and prevents damage to the delicate internal components.
5.3 Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box is ideal for storage.
