4. Setup Guide

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the provided lithium-ion battery, ensuring the correct orientation of the contacts.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. MicroSD Card Installation

  1. Locate the MicroSD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert a compatible MicroSDHC card (U3, V30 & above recommended) into the slot until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently press the card until it springs out.

4.3. Charging the Camera

Connect the camera to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. The charging indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4.4. Mounting the Camera

Utilize the various mounts and accessories included in your package to attach the camera to helmets, handlebars, or other surfaces as needed for your activity.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power/Mode button.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power/Mode button again.

5.2. Mode Selection

Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through different modes: Video, Photo, Playback, and Settings.

5.3. Recording Videos and Capturing Photos

  • In Video mode, press the OK button to start recording. Press again to stop.
  • In Photo mode, press the OK button to capture a photo.

5.4. Switching Screens

Press the dedicated screen switch button (often labeled with an icon) to toggle between the 2-inch main rear screen and the 1.4-inch front screen.

5.5. WiFi Connection and App Usage

  1. Enable WiFi on your camera through the settings menu.
  2. Download the FitSpark companion app on your smartphone or tablet.
  3. Connect your device to the camera's WiFi network (SSID and password displayed on camera screen).
  4. Use the app for live view, remote control, settings adjustment, and media transfer.

5.6. External Microphone Usage

If using an external Type-C microphone, connect it to the designated port. Ensure you enable the external microphone option in the camera's audio settings for optimal performance.

5.7. Wireless Remote Control

The included wireless remote allows you to start/stop video recording and capture photos from a distance. Refer to the remote control's specific instructions for pairing and usage.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Use the provided lens cloth to gently clean the camera lens and screens.
  • For the camera body, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

6.2. Storage

Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.

6.3. Waterproof Case Care

After each use in water, rinse the waterproof case with fresh water and allow it to air dry completely before storing. Inspect the seals regularly for any damage.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Camera Not Powering On

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged.
  • Check if the battery is inserted correctly.
  • Try using a different charged battery if available.

7.2. Recording Issues

  • Verify that a compatible MicroSD card is inserted and has sufficient free space.
  • Ensure the MicroSD card is formatted correctly (FAT32 or exFAT).
  • Check if the camera is in the correct recording mode.

7.3. WiFi Connection Problems

  • Ensure WiFi is enabled on the camera and your smart device.
  • Restart both the camera and your smart device.
  • Confirm you are connecting to the correct WiFi network displayed on the camera.

7.4. Poor Audio Quality with External Mic

  • Ensure the external microphone is securely connected.
  • Verify that the 'External Microphone' option is enabled in the camera's audio settings.
  • Check the microphone for any damage or obstructions.
