3. Setup

3.1 Multi-Device Connection

The AULA F87 Pro supports three connection modes: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz Wireless, and USB Wired. It can easily switch among up to 5 devices using shortcut keys or side keys.

3.1.1 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

1. Switch the mode toggle on the keyboard to 2.4G mode.
2. Remove the USB receiver from the upper right corner slot of the keyboard.
3. Plug the USB receiver into your computer's USB port.
4. For 2.4G Connection 2, long press the Fn + ~ key combination for about 3 seconds. The key start will flash cyan light, indicating pairing mode.

3.1.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Switch the mode toggle on the keyboard to BT mode.
2. Long press the Fn + 1/2/3 key combination for 3 seconds. The corresponding key light will flash blue, indicating pairing mode.
3. Search for the pairing name (e.g., AULA F87 BT1) on your device and connect. The blue light will turn on for 2 seconds after successful connection.

3.1.3 USB Wired Connection

1. Switch the mode toggle on the keyboard to Wired mode.
2. Plug the Type-C connector of the standard USB cable into the corresponding port of the keyboard.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into your computer's USB port.

3.2 Initial Charge

The keyboard is equipped with a 4000mAh high-capacity battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the keyboard before its first use. Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard and a power source (computer USB port or USB wall adapter).

4.1 Key Functions and Layout

The AULA F87 Pro features a 75% TKL layout with 87 keys, saving desktop space while retaining essential functions. It supports N-keys rollover, ensuring all key presses are registered accurately, which is crucial for gaming.

4.2 RGB Backlighting

The keyboard features brilliant 16.8 million RGB lighting effects with 16 preset lighting effects and 10 music rhythm lighting effects via the driver. Lighting brightness and speed can be adjusted using Fn + key combinations.

4.4 Gasket Structure and Sound Dampening

The keyboard features a gasket structure with an extended integrated silicone pad and PCB single-key slot, optimizing resilience and stability for a softer, more resilient feel. Five layers of filling silencers reduce key noise and provide a solid typing experience.

4.5 Hot-Swappable Switches

The AULA F87 Pro supports 3-pin/5-pin switches, allowing for easy replacement of switches and keycaps without soldering. This feature extends the keyboard's lifespan and allows for customization.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

To clean your keyboard, first disconnect it from your computer. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard. For cleaning between keycaps, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris.

5.2 Keycap Care

The keyboard features side-printed PBT keycaps, which are double injection molded and use a heat sublimation process. They are sweat-proof and durable, designed not to fade. The frosted surface is softer to the touch. To maintain their appearance, avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials when cleaning.

5.3 Switch Replacement

Thanks to the hot-swappable design, individual switches can be replaced if faulty or for customization. Use the provided switch puller to gently remove the switch. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the keyboard is disconnected before replacing switches.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Keyboard Not Responding

• Wired Mode: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
• 2.4GHz Wireless: Check if the USB receiver is properly plugged in. Ensure the keyboard is in 2.4G mode. Re-pair the keyboard by long pressing Fn + ~ for 3 seconds.
• Bluetooth Mode: Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Ensure the keyboard is in BT mode and paired correctly. Try re-pairing by long pressing Fn + 1/2/3 for 3 seconds.
• Battery: Check the battery level. A low battery can cause connectivity issues. Charge the keyboard if necessary.

6.2 Backlight Issues

• No Backlight: Ensure the backlight is not turned off. Adjust brightness using Fn + Up/Down Arrow keys.
• Incorrect Color/Effect: Use Fn + Insert/Delete/Shift keys to cycle through effects and colors. Ensure the driver software settings are applied correctly if customized.

6.3 Keys Not Registering

• Individual Keys: If only a few keys are not working, the switch might be faulty. Utilize the hot-swappable feature to replace the affected switch.
