1. Introduction

The EASYGUARD ESW312-N-BM2-PP is a passive keyless entry (PKE) smart key replacement system designed for specific BMW G series BDC cars manufactured from 2018 onwards. This system enhances vehicle access by providing automatic locking and unlocking functions, along with standard remote control features.

1.1. Compatibility

This system is compatible with 2018+ BMW G series BDC cars that are equipped with a factory OEM push start button and comfort access function. If your vehicle does not have comfort access, please refer to the ESW309C-N-BM2 or ESW309C-N-BM2-PP series.

2. Product Components

3. Installation

Installation of this system is a plug-and-play process, requiring no soldering of the factory key's PCB. However, professional installation by a trained alarm installer or locksmith is highly recommended to ensure correct setup and functionality. One working factory key fob is required to be placed inside the control module during installation.

3.1. Antenna Placement

Proper placement of the PKE antennas is crucial for optimal performance of the passive keyless entry function. Refer to the video below for guidance on antenna installation.

3.2. Control Module and Key Fob Integration

The control module should be placed securely, typically under the ignition cylinder or driver's seat. A working factory key's PCB is inserted into the control module to enable the system's functions.

4. Operation

4.1. Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) Function

The PKE function automatically locks or unlocks the vehicle as you approach or walk away from it, typically within a range of 2-3 meters. This feature can be enabled or disabled as per user preference.

4.2. Remote Control Functions

The smart key fobs provide standard remote control functions similar to your factory key, including:

The remote working range is approximately 20-30 meters.

4.3. Additional Functions

The system supports additional car factory key functions such as remote trunk release and power window up/down, provided the original factory key has these features.

5. Programming

After completing the wiring connections, a new programming sequence is required for the system to function correctly. Please refer to the specific programming method outlined in the detailed installation guide provided with your product for step-by-step instructions.

6. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your EASYGUARD PKE system, keep the key fobs dry and avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures. Replace the CR2 batteries in the key fobs as needed. Regular checks of wiring connections are recommended during routine vehicle maintenance.
