Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Yard Force mower. Always turn off the mower, remove the key, and disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance.
1. Battery Care:
- Charge the battery fully after each use, even if only used for a short period.
- Store the mower and battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is charged to at least 50% and recharge every 3-6 months.
2. Deck and Blade Maintenance:
- After each use, clean the underside of the cutting deck using the clean-out port to prevent grass buildup, which can affect cutting performance.
- Inspect the blades regularly for sharpness and damage. Dull or damaged blades should be sharpened or replaced by a qualified service technician.
- Ensure all blade mounting bolts are tight.
3. General Cleaning:
Wipe down the exterior of the mower with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components. The mower has an IPX4 rating for water spray protection, but direct jets should be avoided on sensitive areas.
