2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Package Contents
Before beginning installation, ensure all components are present:
One pair of hydraulic calipers (front and rear)
One pair of brake levers (front and rear)
One pair of 160mm stainless steel rotors
Two brake lines (pre-bled with mineral oil)
One brake cable housing
Two pairs of spare semi-metallic brake pads
One brake pad alignment tool
Two S buckles
4 x Brake Line Caps
6 x Brake Hose Caps
4 x Caliper Screws
12 x Rotor Adapter Screws
2.2 Brake Lever Installation
Install the brake levers onto your 22.2 mm handlebars. Loosen the mounting screw on the brake lever, position it correctly on the handlebar, and then tighten the screw to secure it. Adjust the angle for comfortable reach and operation.

2.3 Caliper and Rotor Installation
Attach the 160mm stainless steel rotors to your wheel hubs using the provided adapter screws. Then, install the hydraulic calipers to the A/B pillar of your bike frame. The brake set is pre-bled with mineral oil, making it ready for immediate use after installation.
Important Safety Note:
Do not remove the red brake pad protective plate and press the brake lever before installation. Doing so may cause oil leakage.
Ensure the calipers are properly aligned with the rotors to prevent rubbing. Use the brake pad alignment tool if necessary.

2.4 Bleeding the Brakes (If Necessary)
While the brakes are pre-bled, if you experience spongy braking or need to shorten/lengthen the brake lines, bleeding may be required. The following video demonstrates a bleeding process for similar hydraulic brakes. Always refer to professional guidance if unsure.
Video 1: Demonstration of hydraulic brake bleeding process. This video shows the process of bleeding hydraulic brakes, which involves removing air bubbles from the brake fluid system to restore proper brake lever feel and stopping power. It illustrates connecting a syringe to the brake lever's bleed port and manipulating the lever to push fluid through the system.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Brake System Overview
The BUCKLOS HB-323 features a dual-piston braking system, which increases the friction area and ensures even stress distribution on the rotors, preventing deformation and providing consistent stopping power. The ergonomically designed three-finger brake levers offer comfortable and efficient braking.

3.2 Intended Use
This hydraulic brake set is suitable for a wide range of bicycles, including mountain bikes, road bikes, e-bikes, scooters, folding bikes, and BMX. Ensure the brake lines are of sufficient length for your specific bicycle model.

4. Maintenance
4.1 General Care
Regularly inspect your brake system for any signs of wear, damage, or oil leakage. Keep the rotors and brake pads clean and free from grease or oil, which can severely reduce braking performance. Clean with a dedicated disc brake cleaner if necessary.
4.2 Brake Pad Replacement
The semi-metallic brake pads are designed for durability and high-temperature resistance. Replace brake pads when they show significant wear (typically when the pad material is less than 0.5mm thick). Use the provided brake pad alignment tool during replacement to ensure correct positioning.
4.3 Brake Fluid Check and Bleeding
The hydraulic system uses mineral oil. If the brake lever feels spongy or braking performance degrades, the system may need to be bled to remove air bubbles. Refer to the bleeding video in the Setup section for guidance or consult a professional bike mechanic.
5. Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
Brake lever feels spongy
Air in the hydraulic system
Bleed the brake system (refer to Video 1).
Brakes are rubbing
Caliper misalignment or bent rotor
Realign the caliper using the alignment tool. Check rotor for bends and true if necessary.
Reduced braking power
Contaminated brake pads/rotor, worn pads, or air in system
Clean pads/rotor with disc brake cleaner. Replace worn pads. Bleed the system.
Oil leakage from brake lever or caliper
Damaged seal or improper assembly
Inspect connections and seals. If damage is found, contact customer support for replacement parts or professional repair.
