Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your akuaplus Shower System. This system features a versatile 3-function diverter, an adjustable 360° arm, and a 5-setting hand shower combo, designed to enhance your showering experience. Please read these instructions carefully before installation and use to ensure proper function and longevity of the product.

Package Contents

Before beginning installation, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The package should contain the following items:

• One (1) 3-function diverter unit
• One (1) 5-setting showerhead
• One (1) Adjustable 360° flexible arm
• One (1) 5-setting ABS hand shower
• Anti-lime nozzles (pre-installed on showerheads)
• One (1) ABS hand shower bracket
• One (1) Flexible 59-inch double interlocking stainless steel hose with brass fittings
• Necessary mounting hardware (screws, anchors, gaskets)
• Adjustable wall flange and slide bar

Note: The main shower arm that connects to your wall plumbing is not included with this system. You will need to use your existing shower arm or purchase one separately.

Setup and Installation

Installation of the akuaplus Shower System is designed to be straightforward. Basic plumbing knowledge and tools are recommended. Ensure water supply is turned off before beginning installation.

1. Prepare Existing Shower Arm: Ensure your existing shower arm is securely installed and clean. Remove any old showerheads.
2. Install Diverter Unit: Thread the 3-function diverter unit onto your existing shower arm. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench to secure, ensuring the diverter is oriented correctly for easy access to the handle. Do not overtighten.
3. Attach Adjustable Arm: Connect the adjustable 360° flexible arm to the top outlet of the diverter unit. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
4. Install Showerhead: Thread the 5-setting showerhead onto the adjustable arm. Hand-tighten, then gently secure with a wrench if necessary.
5. Connect Hand Shower Hose: Attach one end of the 59-inch stainless steel hose to the bottom outlet of the diverter unit. Connect the other end of the hose to the 5-setting ABS hand shower.
6. Mount Hand Shower Bracket: Determine the desired height for the hand shower bracket on your wall. Use the provided mounting hardware (screws and anchors) to securely attach the ABS hand shower bracket. The adjustable wall flange and slide bar facilitate a leak-proof mounting.
7. Test for Leaks: Once all components are installed, slowly turn on the water supply and check all connections for leaks. Tighten any leaking connections as needed.

Operating Instructions

Your akuaplus Shower System offers multiple functions for a customized showering experience.

Diverter Operation:

The 3-function diverter allows you to easily switch between water outputs:

• Overhead Shower Only: Turn the diverter handle to direct water solely to the main showerhead.
• Hand Shower Only: Turn the diverter handle to direct water solely to the handheld shower.
• Both Showerheads: Turn the diverter handle to the middle position to activate both the overhead and hand shower simultaneously.
• Pause Function: A specific setting on the diverter allows for a temporary pause in water flow, useful for lathering or shaving.

Showerhead Settings:

Both the main showerhead and the hand shower feature 5 distinct spray settings. To change the spray pattern, rotate the spray face or press the single spray control button on the hand shower until the desired setting is achieved. Settings typically include:

• Full Spray
• Massage Spray
• Mist Spray
• Combination Sprays
• Water-saving/Pause (on some models)

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your akuaplus Shower System.

• Cleaning: Clean the chrome finish regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
• Anti-Lime Nozzles: The showerhead and hand shower are equipped with easy-to-clean anti-lime nozzles. To remove mineral buildup, simply rub the rubber nozzles with your finger or a soft brush. This should be done periodically, especially in areas with hard water.
• Hose Care: Periodically check the flexible stainless steel hose for any kinks or damage. Ensure the brass fittings remain secure.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your akuaplus Shower System, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Low Water Pressure:
  • Check if the anti-lime nozzles are clogged. Clean them as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Ensure the diverter handle is fully engaged in the desired position.
  • Verify that your home's main water supply valve is fully open.
• Leaks at Connections:
  • Ensure all connections are hand-tightened, then gently secured with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
  • Check that all rubber gaskets are properly seated and not damaged. Replace if necessary.
  • Apply plumber's tape (not included) to threaded connections if leaks persist.
• Diverter Not Switching Properly:
  • Ensure there is no debris obstructing the diverter mechanism.
