Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the DJI Osmo Action Multifunctional Charging Handle. This device is designed to extend the operating time of your Osmo Action camera and enhance its functionality.

The handle features a built-in 4900mAh battery, camera control buttons, a magnetic quick-release system, ball-joint adjustment, a 3.5mm audio adapter, tripod support, and a 1/4″ thread hole for expanded use.

Setup

1. Charging the Handle

The handle contains a built-in 4900mAh battery. Connect the handle to a power source using a USB-C cable (not included) to charge it. The LED indicators will show charging status.

2. Attaching the Camera

Align your Osmo Action 5 Pro or Osmo Action 4 camera with the magnetic quick-release mount on the handle. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

3. Connecting the Camera

Connect the integrated USB-C cable from the handle to your Osmo Action camera's USB-C port. This enables power transfer and camera control.

4. Attaching the Charging Port Protector

Before use, attach the charging port protector to the handle's charging port. Ensure the USB-C port cover on the back of the handle is fully closed to prevent dust or debris entry.

5. Using the Wrist Strap

Attach the included DJI Wrist Strap to the designated loop on the handle for added security during use.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the handle to power it on or off.

2. Camera Control

Use the integrated buttons on the handle to control your Osmo Action camera. These buttons typically include record, mode switch, and custom function.

3. Adjusting Camera Angle

Utilize the ball-joint adjustment mechanism to change the camera's angle as needed.

4. Using the 3.5mm Audio Adapter

The 3.5mm TRS input port on the back of the handle is for connecting 3.5mm three-stage microphones. Ensure the charging handle has sufficient power when using an external microphone. This port does not support 3.5mm headphones.

5. Tripod Support

The handle features a 1/4″ thread hole at the bottom, allowing it to be mounted on a tripod or other compatible accessories.

Maintenance

1. Water Resistance

The Osmo Action Multifunctional Charging Handle is not waterproof. Do not use it underwater or expose it to excessive moisture.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the handle with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

3. Storage

Store the handle in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight when not in use.

Troubleshooting

Camera Not Powering On/Charging

Ensure the handle's battery is charged. Check that the USB-C cable connecting the handle to the camera is securely inserted at both ends. Verify that the charging port protector is properly attached and the USB-C port cover is fully closed.

Short Battery Life

In camera modes that consume significant battery power, ensure the handle's battery is fully charged and securely connected to the camera.

Microphone Not Working

Confirm that the external microphone is a 3.5mm three-stage (TRS) type. Ensure the charging handle has sufficient power.
