2. Setup & Installation

2.1 Applicable Car Models

This head unit is compatible with Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2015) and Chevrolet Aveo (2011-2015). Ensure your vehicle's center console matches the correct configurations shown below.

2.2 Package Contents

2.3 Disassembly & Installation Steps

Before starting the replacement job, prepare tools such as a plastic pry tool and a screwdriver. Ensure the car's power is cut off during installation.

  1. Use a pry bar to open and remove the outer frame of the original radio.
  2. Unscrew the four screws securing the radio on both sides.
  3. Remove the radio and disconnect the cables.
  4. Finally, remove the air vents on both sides from the original car frame.
  5. Install the air vents on both sides onto the new radio panel.
  6. Secure the new radio to the panel and tighten the five screws.
  7. Connect the wires of the new radio to the original car, attach the protocol box (Canbus), and then reinstall the new radio into the car, completing the installation.

2.4 Canbus Connection

Ensure the CANBUS box is connected. After connecting the Canbus, you need to set the Protocol correctly to enable steering wheel controls. The procedure is as follows:

  • Go to "Car Settings"
  • Select "Factory" (Password: 000000)
  • Choose "CarType Setting"
  • Select "Raise - Chevrolet/BUICK/HUMMER - GM_ROI (2011-2014 Aveo)" for your car.

2.5 Reversing Camera Installation

The reversing input must be plugged in even if the reversing camera is not used.

  1. Connect the positive pole of the camera's power supply to the car's reversing light.

  3. The reversing trigger is controlled by the stereo, so a separate connection for the trigger is not required.

3.1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The head unit supports both wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to access phone functions like calls, maps, music, and messages directly from the stereo. Voice commands are supported via "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google".

Wireless Apple CarPlay Connection:
