1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

General Power Tool Safety Warnings

• Work Area Safety: Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
• Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
• Personal Safety: Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. Always wear eye protection.
• Power Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
• Battery Tool Use and Care: Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs.

Circular Saw Specific Safety Warnings

• Cutting Procedures: DANGER: Keep hands away from cutting area and the blade. Keep your second hand on the auxiliary handle, or motor housing. If both hands are holding the saw, they cannot be cut by the blade.
• Guard Function: Check the lower guard for proper closing before each use. Do not operate the saw if the lower guard does not move freely and close instantly. Never clamp or tie the lower guard open.
• Kickback: Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound, or misaligned saw blade, causing an uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator. Avoid kickback by maintaining a firm grip on the saw and proper body positioning.

2. Product Overview

The Ingco CSLI1402 is a 20V Lithium-Ion Circular Saw designed for cutting wood and other materials. It features a 140mm blade, adjustable depth and bevel settings, and a lightweight, ergonomic design for comfortable use.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

The Ingco CSLI1402 operates on a 20V Lithium-Ion battery (sold separately). Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.

1. Insert the battery pack into the charger, ensuring proper alignment.
2. Plug the charger into a standard power outlet. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
3. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the outlet and remove the battery pack.
4. To install the battery on the saw, align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
5. To remove the battery, press the battery release button and slide the battery pack out.

3.2 Blade Installation and Removal

Always ensure the battery is removed from the saw before installing or removing the blade.

1. Press and hold the spindle lock button to prevent the blade from rotating.
2. Using the provided wrench, loosen the blade bolt by turning it counter-clockwise.
3. Lift the lower blade guard and carefully remove the outer flange and the old blade.
4. Clean any dust or debris from the blade flanges.
5. Place the new 140mm blade onto the spindle, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow on the saw and blade guard.
6. Replace the outer flange and tighten the blade bolt clockwise with the wrench while holding the spindle lock button. Do not overtighten.

3.3 Adjusting Cutting Depth

The cutting depth can be adjusted to match the thickness of the material being cut.

1. Loosen the depth adjustment lever.
2. Raise or lower the saw base to achieve the desired cutting depth. The blade should extend approximately 3-6mm below the workpiece.
3. Tighten the depth adjustment lever securely.

3.4 Adjusting Bevel Angle

The saw can make bevel cuts up to 45 degrees.

1. Loosen the bevel adjustment lever.
2. Tilt the saw base to the desired angle (0-45 degrees) using the angle scale.
3. Tighten the bevel adjustment lever securely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Before Starting

• Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped or held to prevent movement during cutting.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves.
• Check that the blade is sharp and free from damage.
• Verify that all adjustments (depth, bevel) are securely tightened.

4.2 Making a Cut

1. Position the saw on the workpiece with the blade clear of the material.
2. Hold the saw firmly with both hands, one on the main handle and one on the auxiliary handle.
3. Depress the safety lock-off button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger switch to start the saw. Allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
4. Slowly guide the saw into the workpiece, maintaining a steady, consistent feed rate. Do not force the saw.
5. Keep the saw's base plate flat against the workpiece throughout the cut.
6. Once the cut is complete, release the trigger switch and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.

4.3 Dust Extraction

The saw features a dust extraction port. Connect a suitable dust collection system or vacuum cleaner to this port to minimize dust exposure and maintain a clear cutting line.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your circular saw. Always disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Cleaning

• After each use, clean the saw thoroughly. Remove sawdust and debris from the blade guard, motor housing, and ventilation openings using a brush or compressed air.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage plastic parts.

5.2 Blade Care

• Inspect the blade regularly for sharpness, cracks, or missing teeth. Replace dull or damaged blades immediately.
• Keep blades clean and free of resin buildup. Use a blade cleaner specifically designed for saw blades.

5.3 Battery and Charger Care

• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods.
• Inspect the charger and battery pack for any damage before each use.
