Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Hedge Trimmer
The hedge trimmer features a dual-action safety switch to prevent accidental activation.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Grip the handle firmly with both hands.
- Simultaneously press the safety switch (usually a button or lever on the front handle) and squeeze the main trigger switch on the rear handle.
- The blades will begin to move. Release the safety switch once the blades are operating.
2. Trimming Techniques
The 45 cm laser-cut, diamond-ground blades are designed for precise and efficient trimming of small to medium-sized hedges and shrubs, with a maximum cutting diameter of 15 mm.
- General Trimming: Hold the hedge trimmer at a slight angle to the hedge, moving it in a sweeping motion.
- Top Trimming: For flat tops, hold the trimmer level and move it steadily across the top of the hedge.
- Side Trimming: Work from the bottom upwards, using an arc motion to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Avoid Overloading: Do not force the blades through thick branches. If resistance is met, reposition the trimmer or use appropriate pruning shears for thicker cuts.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your hedge trimmer.
1. Blade Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and carefully clean the blades with a stiff brush to remove sap, leaves, and debris.
- Lubrication: Apply a light machine oil or blade lubricant to the blades after cleaning to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- Sharpening: If the blades become dull, they can be sharpened by a qualified service technician. Do not attempt to sharpen them yourself unless you have proper training and tools.
2. General Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe down the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
- Always use the blade cover when storing or transporting the hedge trimmer.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
