6. Setup

6.1 Mounting

  1. Choose a suitable mounting location, typically near the door to be controlled. Ensure it is protected from direct weather exposure if installed outdoors.
  2. Mark the drilling points for the mounting screws using the backplate as a template.
  3. Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
  4. Secure the backplate to the wall.

6.2 Wiring

Important: Disconnect all power before performing any wiring connections.

Refer to the wiring diagram above and the terminal block image for connections. Common connections include:

  • +12V and GND: Connect to a DC 12V power supply.
  • NO/PUSH, COM, NC: Connect to your electric lock (e.g., magnetic lock, electric strike).
  • OPEN: Connect to an exit button.
  • BELL, BELL: Connect to an external doorbell chime.

6.3 Initial Power-Up

  1. After completing all wiring, apply DC 12V power to the unit.
  2. The keypad will emit a beep, and the indicator lights will flash, indicating successful power-up.
  3. The default Master Code is typically 123456. It is highly recommended to change this immediately after initial setup.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Programming Mode

To enter programming mode: Press * then enter the Master Code (default: 123456) then press #. The red LED will illuminate.

To exit programming mode: Press *. The red LED will turn off.

7.2 Change Master Code

  1. Enter Programming Mode.
  2. Press 0.
  3. Enter your new 6-digit Master Code.
  4. Press # to confirm.
  5. Exit Programming Mode.

7.3 Adding User Cards/PINs

The system supports up to 1000 users.

  1. Enter Programming Mode.
  2. Press 1 to add a user.
  3. For Card Only Access: Present the ID card to the keypad. The keypad will beep, and the card is added.
  4. For PIN Only Access: Enter a 4-6 digit PIN, then press #. Repeat the PIN and press # again to confirm.
  5. For Card + PIN Access: Present the ID card, then enter a 4-6 digit PIN, then press #. Repeat the PIN and press # again to confirm.
  6. To add more users, repeat step 3 or 4.
  7. Exit Programming Mode.

7.4 Deleting User Cards/PINs

  1. Enter Programming Mode.
  2. Press 2 to delete a user.
  3. To Delete by Card: Present the ID card to the keypad. The keypad will beep, and the card is deleted.
  4. To Delete by PIN: Enter the 4-6 digit PIN, then press #.
  5. To delete more users, repeat step 3 or 4.
  6. Exit Programming Mode.

7.5 Accessing the Door

  • Card Only: Present your registered ID card to the keypad. The green LED will flash, and the door will unlock.
  • PIN Only: Enter your registered 4-6 digit PIN, then press #. The green LED will flash, and the door will unlock.
  • Card + PIN: Present your registered ID card, then enter your 4-6 digit PIN, then press #. The green LED will flash, and the door will unlock.

7.6 Doorbell Function

Press the doorbell button (bell icon) on the keypad to activate the external doorbell chime (if connected).

7.7 Anti-Tamper Alarm

If the keypad is forcibly removed from its mounting location, the built-in anti-tamper switch will trigger a loud alarm. To silence the alarm, re-secure the keypad or enter the Master Code.

8. Maintenance

  • Clean the keypad surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Regularly check wiring connections for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Ensure the keypad is securely mounted to prevent accidental tampering.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Keypad is unresponsive: Check power supply connections. Ensure DC 12V is correctly applied.
  • Door does not unlock:
    • Verify the ID card or PIN is correctly registered.
    • Check wiring to the electric lock. Ensure COM, NO/PUSH, NC connections are correct for your lock type.
    • Confirm the power supply is adequate for both the keypad and the lock.
  • Anti-tamper alarm triggers unexpectedly: Ensure the keypad is firmly attached to its mounting surface and the anti-tamper switch is properly engaged.
  • Cannot enter programming mode: Double-check the Master Code. If forgotten, a factory reset may be required (refer to advanced programming instructions, not covered in this basic manual).
