3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning Your Keyboard

To maintain the performance and appearance of your Womier SK75 keyboard, regular cleaning is recommended:

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer.
  • Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
  • For stubborn dirt, gently wipe the keycaps and case with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

3.2 Hot-Swappable Switches and Keycaps

The Womier SK75 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily change 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches without soldering. The keyboard comes pre-installed with high-quality POM linear switches, which are factory-lubed for a smooth typing experience.

To replace switches or keycaps:

  1. Use the included keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
  2. Use the included switch puller to carefully grip the switch from the top and bottom clips, then pull it straight up to remove.
  3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
  4. Place the new keycap onto the switch stem and press down until secure.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Womier SK75 keyboard, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

4.1 Connection Issues

  • Keyboard not connecting wirelessly: Ensure the battery switch under the Caps Lock key is in the "ON" position. For 2.4GHz, verify the receiver is properly inserted and try a different USB port. For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode (rapid flashing F1/F2/F3) and your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Wired connection not recognized: Try a different USB-C cable or a different USB port on your computer. Ensure the cable is fully inserted into both the keyboard and the computer.
  • Intermittent connection: Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver/Bluetooth device. Avoid sources of interference (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects).

4.2 Key Functionality Issues

  • Keys not responding: Check if the switch is properly seated. If not, remove the keycap and switch, then reinsert the switch firmly. If the issue persists, try replacing the switch with a spare one.
  • Double typing or missed keystrokes: This can sometimes be resolved by reseating the switch. If the problem continues, the switch may be faulty and require replacement.
  • Incorrect key output: Verify your key mappings in the VIA software. Reset to default settings if necessary.

4.3 Lighting Issues

  • RGB lights not working: Ensure the backlight is turned on using FN + Back. Check brightness settings using FN + ↑.
  • Inconsistent lighting: This might indicate a loose switch or LED. Try reseating the switch.
