4. Setup and Initial Use

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the WUBEN T4 flashlight. The flashlight is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery.

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the flashlight body. It is typically covered by a protective cap.
2. Open the protective cap.
3. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the flashlight's charging port.
4. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port, power bank).
5. The indicator light will show red during charging and turn blue when fully charged.
6. A full charge takes approximately 1.7 hours.

4.2 Attaching the Pocket Clip

The WUBEN T4 comes with a premium pocket clip for easy attachment to pockets, backpacks, or belts. Ensure it is securely attached for reliable carry.

4.3 Optional Tactical Ring Accessory

Optional tactical ring accessories (sold separately) can be attached to enhance stability and maneuverability. Refer to the accessory's specific instructions for installation.

5. Operating Instructions

The WUBEN T4 features a unique "one twist, three modes" tail switch design. To switch between modes, pull up and twist the tail ring.

5.1 Tactical Mode

Ideal for police or military use, allowing for instant turbo and instant strobe for swift responses.

• Instant Turbo (850LM): Half-press and hold the tail switch.
• Instant Strobe (850LM): Single press the tail switch.

Note: To access the strobe directly, ensure the flashlight is in Tactical Mode.

5.2 Duty Mode

Suitable for patrols, search missions, or outdoor activities, offering adjustable brightness levels.

• High (850LM): Half-press and hold or single press.
• Mid (150LM): Half-press.
• Low (5LM): Half-press.

Note: Cycle through brightness levels by half-pressing the switch.

5.3 Lock Mode

Ensures no accidental activation, conserving battery during carry in pockets or backpacks.

• To activate Lock Mode: Twist the tail ring to the "LOCK" position.
• To deactivate Lock Mode: Twist the tail ring to "TAC" or "DUTY" position.

This anti-mistouch design prevents unintended light activation.

• Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a clean, soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• O-Rings: Periodically inspect the O-rings for wear and tear. Replace them if damaged to maintain the IP68 waterproof rating. A spare waterproof ring is included in the package. Lubricate O-rings with silicone grease to prevent drying and cracking.
• Charging Port: Keep the USB-C charging port clean and free of debris. Ensure the protective cap is securely closed when not charging to prevent water and dust ingress.
• Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the flashlight regularly, especially if it has not been used for an extended period. Store in a cool, dry place.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your WUBEN T4 flashlight, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Flashlight does not turn on:
  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a USB-C charger and check the indicator light.
  • Check if the tail ring is in "Lock" mode. Twist it to "Tactical" or "Duty" mode.
  • Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened. A loose tail cap can prevent electrical contact.
• Light is dim or flickers:
  • The battery may be low. Recharge the flashlight.
  • Clean the contact points on the tail cap and flashlight body with a clean cloth.
• Flashlight does not charge:
  • Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the flashlight and the power source.
  • Try a different USB-C cable or power source.
  • Check if the charging port is clean and free of debris.
• Water ingress after exposure:
  • Ensure the USB-C port's protective cap was securely closed.
  • Inspect the O-rings for damage or improper seating. Replace if necessary.
