This remote is specifically compatible with Harbor Breeze ceiling fans that utilize FD30-H02R, FD40-H02R, and FD40-H03R receivers. It offers features such as 6-speed fan control, reversible airflow for seasonal use, a sleep timer, independent up-light and down-light dimming, natural breeze simulation, and a walk-away light delay function.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Anderic RRTX012 remote control requires one A23 12V battery (sold separately). Follow these steps to install the battery:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards in the direction of the arrow to open it.
  3. Insert one A23 12V battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are aligned correctly.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Pairing Instructions

For the remote to communicate with your ceiling fan, it must be paired with the fan's receiver (receiver/transmitter sold separately and required for operation). Follow these simple steps for pairing:

  1. Cycle power to the fan (turn the fan's power off and then on at the wall switch or circuit breaker).
  2. Within 30 seconds of restoring power to the fan, install the battery in the remote control.
  3. Locate the "LEARN" key inside the battery compartment of the remote.
  4. Press and hold the "LEARN" key.
  5. Wait for the fan light to blink, indicating successful pairing.

3. Wall Mount Installation

The remote comes with a wall mount bracket for convenient storage and access. To install the wall mount:

  1. Choose a suitable location on a wall, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  2. Use the provided screws to secure the wall mount bracket to the wall.
  3. Slide the remote control into the bracket for secure storage.

Fan Control

  • Power Button (Center): Press to turn the fan ON or OFF.
  • Fan Speed Buttons (1-6): Select desired fan speed from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest).
  • Natural Breeze Mode (Wave icon): Activates a mode that simulates natural airflow by varying fan speeds.
  • Reverse Airflow Switch (Slider): Located at the bottom of the remote, slide to change fan direction for summer (downward airflow) or winter (upward airflow).
  • Sleep Timer (2H, 4H, 8H buttons): Press to set the fan to automatically turn off after 2, 4, or 8 hours.

Light Control

  • Light ON/OFF & Dimming (Lightbulb icon): Press to turn lights ON or OFF. Press and hold to dim or brighten the lights.
  • Up-light Control (Up-arrow house icon): Controls the fan's up-lights (if applicable). Press to turn ON/OFF, press and hold to dim.
  • Down-light Control (Down-arrow house icon): Controls the fan's down-lights (if applicable). Press to turn ON/OFF, press and hold to dim.
  • Walk-Away Light Delay (Clock icon): Activates a delay function that automatically turns off lights after a set period, allowing you to leave the room before the lights extinguish.

Home Shield Mode

The remote may include a "Home Shield" mode, which can randomly turn lights on and off to simulate occupancy when you are away, enhancing home security. Refer to your fan's specific receiver manual for activation details if this feature is supported.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the remote control, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace the A23 12V battery when the remote's indicator light dims or when the remote becomes unresponsive. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.

Storage

When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to remove the battery from the remote control to prevent potential leakage and damage. Store the remote in a cool, dry place.
