Setup and Installation
Package Contents:
Ensure all components are present before beginning installation:

Mounting the Display Unit:
The Elite FS 9 display unit can be mounted using the included mounting bracket. Choose a location that provides clear visibility and easy access to controls, away from direct sunlight if possible, though the unit features an anti-reflective coating.
- Secure the mounting bracket to a flat, stable surface using appropriate fasteners (not included).
- Attach the Elite FS 9 unit to the mounting bracket using the provided hardware.
- Adjust the viewing angle for optimal visibility.

Transducer Installation:
The Active Imaging 3-in-1 Transducer is designed for transom mounting. Proper transducer placement is crucial for optimal sonar performance.
- Select a location on the transom that is free from turbulence and obstructions.
- Mount the transducer securely, ensuring it is submerged in water when the boat is in operation.
- Route the transducer cable to the display unit, avoiding sharp bends and interference with other electrical systems.
Power Connection:
Connect the Elite FS 9 to a 12 Volt DC power source.
- Connect the red wire from the power cable to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V DC battery.
- Connect the black wire from the power cable to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V DC battery.
- Install the provided fuse and fuse holder in the positive power line, close to the battery.
- Plug the power cable into the Elite FS 9 unit.
Warning: Ensure correct polarity when connecting power to prevent damage to the unit.
Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off:
- To power on, press and hold the power button located on the right side of the unit until the Lowrance logo appears.
- To power off, press and hold the power button until the shutdown menu appears, then select "Power Off".
Basic Navigation:
The Elite FS 9 features a multi-touch screen for intuitive navigation.
- Tap: Select items or activate functions.
- Swipe: Scroll through menus or pan across charts.
- Pinch-to-Zoom: Zoom in or out on charts and sonar views.
- Power Button: Short press to access quick menu (brightness, standby, etc.).
Sonar Operation:
Access various sonar views from the main menu.
- CHIRP Sonar: Provides traditional sonar views for fish arches and bottom structure. Adjust sensitivity and range for optimal performance.
- DownScan Imaging: Offers picture-like views of structure and fish directly below your boat. Use FishReveal to highlight fish targets.
- SideScan Imaging: Scans areas to the left and right of your boat, ideal for finding structure and fish off to the sides.
- ActiveTarget Live Sonar (Optional): If equipped, select this option to view real-time movements of fish and your lure.
Chartplotter Operation:
Utilize the preloaded C-MAP Contour+ charts for navigation and finding fishing hotspots.

- Zoom/Pan: Use touch gestures to explore the map.

- Depth Contours: Identify ledges, drop-offs, and other underwater features using the detailed 1-foot contours.
Maintenance
