The 400W BSW Moving Head Light is a versatile 3-in-1 fixture, combining Beam, Spot, and Wash functionalities. It is designed for professional stage lighting, large events, concerts, theaters, and TV shows, offering dynamic visual effects and precise control.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your moving head light:

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the light from its flight case and packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
2. Mounting: The light supports floor mount installation. Use the provided Omega Brackets for secure mounting to trusses or other suitable structures. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture (165.35 lbs).
3. Power Connection: Connect the provided Power Cable to the 'POWER IN' port on the rear of the unit. The light supports 110V-240V AC power. Use the 'POWER OUT' port to daisy-chain power to other compatible fixtures if needed.
4. DMX Connection: For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the 'DMX IN' port. Use the 'DMX OUT' port to connect to the next fixture in your DMX chain.
5. Initial Power On: Flip the 'ON/OFF' switch to the 'ON' position. The LCD touch screen will illuminate, indicating the unit is powering up.

Operating Instructions

The 400W BSW Moving Head Light offers extensive control and dynamic effects:

• DMX Control: The fixture operates with 25 DMX channels, compatible with the international standard DMX512. Use the LCD touch screen and navigation buttons to set the DMX address and configure parameters.
• Pan & Tilt: Enjoy smooth and precise movement with 540° pan and 270° tilt capabilities, driven by a sensitive, high-speed three-phase motor.
• Zoom & Focus: Electronic zoom allows adjustment from 0 to 35 degrees. Electronic dimming and focusing can be precisely controlled from 0% to 100% for intensity and sharpness.
• Color System: The vivid color wheel includes 10 colors plus white. A linear CMY + CTO color mixing system enables seamless color transitions.
• Gobo Wheels: Features a rotating 7 Gobo wheel and a metallic 8 Gobo wheel for a wide range of dynamic visual patterns.
• Prism Effects: Equipped with two prisms – an 8-sided prism and a 16-sided prism – to create complex and multifaceted lighting effects.
• Frost Effect: The frost effect can be adjusted from 0% to 100%, with a maximum frost angle of 40°, enabling soft washes and sharp beams.
• Strobe: The shutter provides a stroboscopic rate from 0.5 to 9 times per second, including random stroboscopic effects.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your lighting fixture:

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. For the lens and optical components, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. Ensure the unit is powered off and disconnected before cleaning.
• Ventilation: Ensure ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
• Cable Inspection: Regularly check all power and DMX cables for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately.
• Secure Connections: Verify that all connections (power, DMX, mounting hardware) are secure before each use.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Power:
  • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the fixture and the power outlet.
  • Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • Check the fuse on the unit. Replace if blown (refer to specifications for fuse type).
• No DMX Control:
  • Ensure DMX cables are correctly connected (DMX IN to controller, DMX OUT to next fixture).
  • Verify the DMX address on the fixture matches the address set on your controller.
  • Check for proper DMX termination if you are at the end of a DMX chain.
  • Test with a different DMX cable.
• Light Output Issues (Dim, Flickering):
  • Check dimming settings on the fixture or DMX controller.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating, which can cause performance issues.
• Movement Issues (No Pan/Tilt):
  • Verify DMX channels for pan/tilt are correctly configured and receiving signals.
  • Ensure the fixture is not physically obstructed.
