3.2 Zeroing and Tare Function

  • Zeroing: If the display does not show zero when the pan is empty, press the Zero button to reset it to zero.
  • Tare: To weigh an item in a container, first place the empty container on the pan. Press the TARE/CAL button (short press) to tare the weight of the container. The display will show zero. Then, add the item to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the item.

3.3 Unit Conversion

To change the weighing unit, long press the PCS/UNIT button. The balance supports conversions between grams (g), ounces (oz), carats (ct), and pounds (lb).

3.4 Counting Function

To use the counting function, short press the PCS/UNIT button. Follow the on-screen prompts to set a sample quantity (e.g., 10, 20, 50, 100 pieces) and place the sample on the pan. The balance will then count multiple pieces automatically, which is useful for inventory management.

3.5 Calibration

External calibration is recommended periodically to maintain accuracy. Calibration weights are included in the package.

  1. Ensure the scale is placed stably and level.
  2. Press and hold the TARE/CAL button until the display shows "CAL".
  3. The balance will then display a flashing weight value (e.g., "100.000g"). Place the corresponding calibration weight (e.g., 100g) onto the center of the weighing pan. The balance will automatically recognize and calibrate the current weight.
  4. Wait approximately 3 seconds. The number will stop flashing. Remove the calibration weight. The scale should display "0.000". If the balance does not reset to zero, repeat the operation.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the balance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure no liquids enter the internal components of the balance.
  • The stainless steel weighing pan can be removed for cleaning by turning it clockwise before lifting. Do not pull it directly to avoid damaging the sensor.
  • The durable ABS wind shield can also be removed for cleaning.

4.2 Storage

  • Store the balance in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Avoid storing heavy objects on the weighing pan when not in use.

5. Troubleshooting

  • "EEEE" or Overload Alarm: This indicates that the weight on the pan exceeds the maximum capacity (100g). Remove excess weight immediately to prevent damage to the sensor.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Check if the balance is level. Adjust the leveling feet if necessary.
    • Ensure the balance has completed its preheating time.
    • Recalibrate the balance using the included calibration weight.
    • Ensure there are no drafts or vibrations affecting the scale.
  • No Display/Power:
    • Check the power adapter connection and ensure the outlet is functional.
    • If using batteries (not included), ensure they are correctly installed and not depleted.
  • Error Indication: If an error code appears, refer to the detailed user instructions provided with the product or contact customer support. The balance performs an automatic check for faults at boot-up.
