1. Introduction

The UGREEN USB 3.0 Switch (Model 25098) allows two computers to share up to four USB 3.0 devices. This device is designed to enhance workflow efficiency by enabling seamless switching of peripherals such as keyboards, mice, webcams, and microphones between a work computer and a personal laptop. It supports both USB-C and USB-A input connections for computers and offers flexible switching options via a physical button or a remote control.

Important Note: This is not a KVM switch. It does not support monitor or video transmission.

Follow these steps to set up your UGREEN USB Switch:

1. Connect Peripherals: Plug your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, webcam, etc.) into the USB-A 3.0 and USB-C 3.0 output ports on the switch.

   • Use the provided USB A-C cable to connect your first computer (with a USB-A port) to one of the USB-C input ports (e.g., "1") on the switch.

3. Optional Power Supply: For high-power devices (e.g., external hard drives, gaming keyboards, printers) or to ensure stable operation, connect a 5V/2A (or higher) USB-C power adapter (not included) to the USB-C charging port on the switch.
4. Connect Remote Control: If desired, plug the remote control cable into the "CONTROL" port on the switch.

5. Operating Instructions

The UGREEN USB Switch offers two methods for switching between connected computers:

5.1. Button Switching

Press the large circular button on the top of the UGREEN USB Switch unit to toggle between Computer 1 and Computer 2. The LED indicators on the switch will illuminate to show which computer is currently active.

5.2. Remote Control Switching

If you have connected the remote control, simply press the button on the remote to switch between Computer 1 and Computer 2. This allows for convenient switching even if the main unit is hidden or out of reach.

7. Troubleshooting

• Devices Disconnecting or Not Functioning:

  If connected devices (especially high-power ones like external hard drives or gaming keyboards) disconnect or do not function reliably, ensure a 5V/2A (or higher) USB-C power adapter is connected to the switch's charging port. Insufficient power is a common cause for such issues.

• Switching Delay:

  A slight delay (typically 3-4 seconds) may occur when switching between computers. This is normal as the operating system needs time to recognize the reconnected USB devices. This is not indicative of a malfunction.
• No Device Recognition at Boot:

  If peripherals are not detected during computer boot-up (e.g., for BIOS access), ensure the switch has an external power supply connected. Some computers may not activate USB hubs early in the boot cycle without external power.

• USB Ports Not Charging Devices:

  The USB ports on this switch are primarily for data transfer and are not recommended for charging devices. For optimal performance, use dedicated charging ports on your computer or a wall adapter for charging.

• No Video Output:

  This device is a USB peripheral switch, not a KVM switch. It does not support video transmission or monitor connections. For video switching, a dedicated KVM switch or video switch is required.
