4. Setup
4.1. Power Connection
- Ensure the controller's power switch is in the OFF position.
- Connect the AC power cable to the PowerIN AC110V-220V socket on the rear panel.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable AC power outlet.
4.2. LED Strip Connection (SPI-TTL Data Out)
The controller features 8 SPI-TTL data output ports. Each port can control up to 1024 pixels. Refer to the wiring diagram for proper connection.

- Identify the Data (DAT), Clock (CLK), and Ground (GND) wires on your SPI-TTL LED strip.
- Connect the corresponding wires from your LED strip to the SPI-TTL DATA OUT terminal block on the controller. Ensure correct polarity and port assignment.
- For multiple strips, use separate output ports for each strip or segment as required by your lighting design.
4.3. DMX Connection (Optional)
If integrating with a DMX system, use the DMX512 IN/OUT (XLR) or DMXIN/DMXOUT (RJ45) ports.
- Connect the DMX output from your DMX console to the DMX512 IN port on the controller.
- If daisy-chaining multiple DMX devices, connect the DMX512 OUT port to the next device's DMX IN.
4.4. Audio Input Connection (Optional)
For music synchronization, connect an audio source to the Mic in or Aux in ports.
- Connect a microphone to the Mic in port for ambient sound detection.
- Connect an audio player (e.g., phone, media player) to the Aux in port using a 3.5mm audio cable.
4.5. SD Card Insertion
The controller uses an SD card to store program files. Ensure the SD card is properly formatted and contains compatible program files.
- Locate the SD card slot on the front panel.
- Insert the SD card gently until it clicks into place.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- To power on, flip the On/Off switch on the rear panel to the 'On' position. The Parameter Display will light up.
- To power off, flip the On/Off switch to the 'Off' position.
5.2. Program Selection
Use the keystroke buttons (Set, Speed, Mode) on the front panel to navigate and select programs stored on the SD card.
- Press the 'Mode' button to cycle through available programs. The program number will be shown on the Parameter Display.
- Press 'Set' to confirm a selection or enter a setting mode.
- Use 'Speed' to adjust the playback speed of dynamic programs.
5.3. Music Synchronization
When an audio source is connected, the controller can synchronize lighting effects with music.
- Rotate the 'Music Adjust' knob on the front panel to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the audio input. Adjust until the lighting effects respond appropriately to the music's beat.
5.4. DMX Control
When connected to a DMX console, the T8K controller can receive DMX signals to control the LED outputs.
