1. Product Overview

The BenQ RD280U is a 28.2-inch 4K (3840x2560) monitor designed specifically for programmers, featuring a unique 3:2 aspect ratio, Nano Matte Panel, and advanced eye-care technologies. It offers a superior visual experience for coding and productivity tasks.

2. Setup and Assembly

2.1 Unpacking the Monitor

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in the packing list are present and undamaged before proceeding with assembly.

2.2 Attaching the Stand

1. Place the monitor face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Align the stand neck with the mounting slot on the back of the monitor.
3. Gently push until it clicks into place.
4. Attach the base to the stand neck and secure it with the provided screw.

Alternatively, the monitor supports VESA mount (100x100 mm) for wall or arm mounting.

2.3 Connecting to Your Device

The BenQ RD280U offers multiple connectivity options:

• USB-C (90W Power Delivery, DP Alt Mode, Data): Connect a single USB-C cable for video, data, and power delivery to your laptop.
• HDMI 2.0: For standard video input.
• DisplayPort 1.4: For high-resolution video input.

3. Operating the Monitor

3.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power key located on the function bar beneath the screen to turn the monitor on or off.

3.2 On-Screen Display (OSD) Navigation

The monitor features a 5-way controller and a function key for navigating the OSD menu. Use the 5-way controller to move through options and confirm selections. The function key provides quick access to frequently used settings.

3.3 Advanced Coding Modes

The RD280U offers specialized coding modes to enhance code differentiation and readability. You can select between Dark Theme and Light Theme modes to match your Integrated Development Environment (IDE) settings.

3.4 MoonHalo Backlight

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Monitor

• Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a non-ammonia, non-alcohol based screen cleaner.

4.2 Storage
