Setup
1. Connectivity Modes
The SKY98 keyboard supports three connection modes: wired USB-C, 2.4G wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. A toggle switch located on the side of the keyboard allows for easy switching between these modes.
- Wired Mode: Connect the keyboard to your device using the provided USB-C cable. This mode offers a stable and reliable connection.
- 2.4G Wireless Mode: Insert the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will automatically connect. This mode is driver-free.
- Bluetooth 5.0 Mode:
- Switch the toggle to Bluetooth mode.
- On your device (PC, laptop, smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "MageGee SKY98" from the list of available devices to pair.
- The keyboard can connect to up to 5 devices simultaneously via Bluetooth.

2. Battery Charging and Status
The SKY98 keyboard features a built-in 3000 mAh battery. When fully charged, it can provide approximately 16 hours of usage with the backlighting on. To check the current battery level, press the FN + Backspace keys simultaneously. The indicator lights will show the approximate charge level.

Operating Instructions
1. RGB Backlighting Control
The keyboard features 18 distinct RGB backlighting modes. You can customize the lighting effects using the following key combinations:
- FN + \|: Switch between 18 different light modes.
- FN + ↑ / ↓: Adjust backlighting brightness.
- FN + ← / →: Adjust backlighting speed.
- FN + Home: Switch light colors.
- FN + DEL: Turn the backlight on or off to conserve power.

2. N-Key Rollover (NKRO)
The SKY98 keyboard supports 100% anti-ghosting with N-Key Rollover. This feature ensures that every keystroke is registered accurately, even when multiple keys are pressed simultaneously. This is particularly beneficial for fast-paced gaming and typing.

3. Hot-Swappable Switches
The SKY98 keyboard features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. It is compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. This enables personalization of your typing experience.
To replace a switch:
- Use the provided keycap puller to remove the desired keycap.
- Use the provided switch puller to gently remove the switch from its socket.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes in the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
- Reattach the keycap.
The keyboard comes with pre-lubricated Violet switches, designed for a smooth and responsive typing feel with a lifespan of up to 70 million keystrokes.

4. Sound Absorbing Features
The SKY98 keyboard is engineered with a gasket-mounted structure and a 5-layer sound absorbing filling to minimize typing noise and enhance the acoustic experience. The gasket mount prevents direct contact between the interior components and the keyboard casing, providing a softer and more elastic typing feel.
The 5-layer filling consists of:
- IXPE foam pad
- PORON foam
- Diaphragm
- EVA soundproofing foam
- Silicone absorbing pad
These layers work together to reduce internal resonance and hollow sounds, resulting in a more pleasant and quiet typing sound.

5. Ergonomic Design

Maintenance

- Cleaning: Regularly clean the keycaps and keyboard surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For deeper cleaning, you can remove keycaps using the provided keycap puller and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not expose the keyboard to liquids. In case of accidental spills, immediately disconnect the keyboard and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Switch Care: While switches are hot-swappable, avoid frequent removal unless necessary to prevent wear on the sockets.
Troubleshooting
