Setup and Installation

1. Preparation

  • Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and smooth.
  • Unroll the LED strip carefully to avoid kinks or damage.

2. Cutting the Strip (Optional)

If a shorter length is required, the LED strip can be cut every 6cm (2.36 inches) at the designated cut marks. Ensure the power is disconnected before cutting.

3. Adhesion

Peel off the protective backing from the adhesive tape on the back of the LED strip. Carefully press the strip onto the desired surface, ensuring firm contact along its entire length. For long installations, it is recommended to have a second person assist to prevent the strip from pulling away before full adhesion.

4. Connecting Components

  • Connect the LED strip to the controller box.
  • Connect the controller box to the power supply.
  • Plug the power supply into a standard electrical outlet.

5. App Download and Pairing

Download the FVTLED app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add your device. The app supports Bluetooth and 2.4G Wi-Fi connectivity (5Ghz Wi-Fi is not supported).

6. Voice Assistant Integration

The SPI controller is compatible with smart speaker platforms such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Refer to your voice assistant's app for specific instructions on integrating smart lighting devices. This enables voice commands for light switches, brightness, and color temperature control.

Operating Instructions

1. App Control (FVTLED App)

The FVTLED app provides comprehensive control over your LED strip light:

  • Color Selection: Choose from 16 million RGB colors and adjust warm white lighting.
  • Scene Modes: Access 65 built-in preset scenes for various holidays and daily life.
  • Dynamic Modes: Explore multicolor dynamic modes for chasing effects.
  • Music Mode: Sync lights with music using the built-in microphone. There are 10 music modes available.
  • Timer Function: Set schedules for the lights to turn on/off automatically.
  • Group Control: Control multiple light strips simultaneously by creating groups within the app.
  • Memory Function: The light strip retains the last used settings when powered off.

2. Remote Control

Use the included 2.4G RF remote control for quick adjustments:

  • Power On/Off: Turn the lights on or off.
  • Brightness Adjustment: Increase or decrease light intensity.
  • Color Selection: Select static colors.
  • Warm White: Press the 'W' button twice to adjust warm white lighting.

3. Voice Control

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the LED strip with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the strip in water.
  • Storage: If storing the strip for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and rolled loosely to prevent damage to the LEDs or adhesive.
  • Handling: Avoid excessive bending or twisting of the strip, especially at sharp angles, to prevent damage to the internal circuitry.

Troubleshooting

Lights Not Turning On

  • Check all connections: Ensure the LED strip, controller box, and power supply are securely connected.
  • Verify power: Confirm the power supply is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Remote/App battery: If using the remote, check its battery. For app control, ensure your phone's Bluetooth/Wi-Fi is on and connected to the correct network.

Color Mismatch / Incorrect Colors

If the color displayed by the strip does not match the color selected on the app or remote, you may need to perform a color calibration:

  1. Open the FVTLED app and navigate to Settings.
  2. Select "Color Calibration".
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to select the currently displayed color of your LED strip (Red, Green, Blue, or White). This helps the controller synchronize with the strip's color output.

Connectivity Issues (App/Voice Control)

  • Wi-Fi Network: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. The device does not support 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
  • Router Distance: Move the controller closer to your Wi-Fi router if connection is unstable.
  • Reset Device: If issues persist, try resetting the device. Refer to the app's FAQ or support section for specific reset instructions.
