3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The alarm clock requires one AA battery for operation. A battery is included in the package.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
3. Insert one AA battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2 Setting Current Time

To set the current time:

1. Locate the 'TIME SET' knob on the back of the clock (usually the knob on the right when facing the back).
2. Rotate the 'TIME SET' knob clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hour and minute hands display the correct current time.

4.1 Setting the Alarm

To set your desired alarm time:

1. Locate the 'ALARM SET' knob on the back of the clock (usually the knob on the left when facing the back).
2. Rotate the 'ALARM SET' knob until the alarm hand (the shorter, narrower hand) points to your desired wake-up time.
3. To activate the alarm, slide the 'ALARM ON/OFF' switch (located near the 'ALARM SET' knob) to the 'ON' position.
4. To deactivate the alarm, slide the 'ALARM ON/OFF' switch to the 'OFF' position.

4.2 Using the Backlight

For temporary illumination in the dark:

• Press and hold the 'LIGHT' button located on the back of the clock. The dial will illuminate for a few seconds.
• Release the button to turn off the backlight.
