4. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

1. Unpack the kettle and its power base.
2. Place the power base on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
3. Fill the kettle with water up to the MAX level.
4. Boil the water and then discard it. Repeat this process two to three times to clean the kettle.

5. Operating Instructions

Using your Philips Kettle is simple and intuitive:

5.1. Filling the Kettle

• Open the lid.
• Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark.
• Close the lid securely.

5.2. Boiling Water

• Place the kettle on its power base.
• Press the power button on the handle's LED display to start boiling. The display will show the current temperature.
• The kettle will automatically switch off once the water reaches 100°C.

5.3. Temperature Control and Keep Warm Function

The kettle offers 6 temperature settings and a smart keep-warm function:

• After placing the kettle on the base, press the temperature selection button (thermometer icon) to cycle through the desired temperature settings (e.g., 40°C, 60°C, 80°C, 90°C, 95°C, 100°C).
• Once the desired temperature is selected, press the power button to start heating. The kettle will heat the water to the selected temperature and then maintain it.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.

6.1. Cleaning the Exterior
