- Probe Safety: The measurement probes are sharp. Handle with care to avoid puncture injuries. Keep out of reach of children.

4. Product Overview and Components
Familiarize yourself with the different parts of your MT-19C moisture meter:

- Measuring Probe: Used to penetrate the material and detect moisture.

5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
The MT-19C requires three AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert three AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When the meter screen displays a low battery indicator, it signifies that the batteries are nearly depleted and should be replaced immediately.
5.2 Probe Installation and Replacement
The MT-19C features detachable probes for easy replacement. Use the included small wrench for this process:
- To remove a probe, use the small wrench to loosen the base of the probe by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Carefully pull out the old probe.
- Insert a new probe into the opening.
- Use the wrench to tighten the new probe by turning it clockwise until secure. Do not overtighten.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn on the device, press the Power Switch button (labeled with a power symbol) located at the bottom of the device.
- To turn off the device, press and hold the Power Switch button until the screen turns off. The device also features an auto-off function to conserve battery life if left idle for a period.
6.2 Selecting Measurement Mode
The MT-19C offers four measurement modes optimized for different material types. Press the MODE button to cycle through them:
- Softwood: For measuring moisture in soft wood types.
- Hardwood: For measuring moisture in hard wood types.
- Packing Material: For measuring moisture in cardboard, paper, and other packing materials.
- Building Material: For measuring moisture in walls, concrete, plaster, and other construction materials.

6.3 Taking Measurements
- Turn on the device.
- Select the appropriate measurement mode using the MODE button.
- Carefully insert the probes into the material you wish to measure. Ensure both probes fully penetrate the surface for accurate readings.
- The moisture percentage will be displayed on the LCD screen.
6.4 Understanding Humidity Alarm and Indicators
The MT-19C provides a quick visual indication of moisture levels through its color-coded humidity alarm:
- Green Light: Indicates low moisture content (dry).
- Yellow Light: Indicates average (medium) moisture content.
- Red Light: Indicates high moisture content (wet).

6.5 Data Hold Function
To lock the current measurement reading on the screen, press the HOLD button. This is useful for recording readings in hard-to-reach areas. Press the HOLD button again to release the reading and resume live measurement.

6.6 Flashlight Function
The MT-19C is equipped with a built-in flashlight to assist with measurements in dark or low-light conditions. Press the Flashlight Switch Key (labeled with a flashlight icon) to turn the flashlight on or off.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Do not immerse the device in water.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the device in its storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Probe Care: Keep the probes clean and free from debris. If probes become dull or damaged, replace them using the instructions in Section 5.2.
