3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Initial Cleaning
- Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
- Wash the carafe, filter basket, and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.
3.2 First Use (Cleaning Cycle)
Before brewing coffee for the first time, run a cleaning cycle to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Fill the water tank to the 12-cup (MAX) mark with fresh, cold water.
- Place the empty carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
- Ensure the filter basket is empty and properly seated.
- Press the "ON/OFF" button to power on the machine.
- Initiate a full brewing cycle without coffee grounds.
- Once the cycle is complete, discard the water from the carafe.
- Repeat this process once more with fresh water.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Hot Coffee Brewing
- Fill the water tank with desired amount of cold water. Use the water level indicator on the side of the machine.
- Place the reusable filter into the filter basket.
- Add desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter. A general guideline is 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup of water.
- Close the top cover securely.
- Place the empty carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
- Press the "ON/OFF" button to power on the machine.
- Select your desired brew settings (e.g., "CLASSIC" recipe, "MEDIUM" strength).
- Press "ON/OFF" again to start brewing.
- The machine will beep 3 times when brewing is complete.

4.2 Iced Coffee Brewing
For iced coffee, the machine brews a concentrated coffee over ice.
- Fill the water tank to the "ICE" mark (indicated by a snowflake icon) with fresh, cold water.
- Fill the carafe with ice cubes up to the "max ice cubes" mark.
- Place the reusable filter into the filter basket.
- Add slightly less coffee grounds than for hot coffee (e.g., 3-4 tablespoons for a full carafe of iced coffee).
- Close the top cover securely.
- Place the carafe with ice on the warming plate.
- Press the "ON/OFF" button to power on the machine.
- Select the "ICE COFFEE" option on the touch screen.
- Press "ON/OFF" again to start brewing.
- Once brewing is complete, stir the iced coffee and serve.
Note: The "ICE COFFEE" function cannot be set together with "ROAST", "INFUSION", "STRENGTH", or "CARAFE" temperature settings.

4.3 Programming Features
- Current Time Setting: Press the "HOUR" button (1 press = 1 hour) and "MINUTE" button (1 press = 1 minute) to set the current time. Wait 2 seconds for the timer to stop flickering, or press "ON/OFF" to confirm.
- Delay Brew Timer Setting: Press the "DELAY BREW TIMER" button. Then use the "HOUR" and "MINUTE" buttons to set the desired brewing time. Wait 2 seconds for the timer to stop flickering, or press "DELAY BREW TIMER" to confirm.
- Keep Warm Timer Setting: Press the "KEEP WARM TIMER" button. Use the "HOUR" and "MINUTE" buttons to set the keep warm duration (range: 3 minutes to 3 hours 59 minutes). Wait 2 seconds for the timer to stop flickering, or press "ON/OFF" to confirm.

4.4 Customizing Brew Settings
- Brewing Flavors Setting ("RECIPES"): Press the "RECIPES" button to choose from "CLASSIC", "INTENSE", and "RICH" flavors.
Note: This function cannot be set together with "ICE COFFEE", "ROAST", "INFUSION", "STRENGTH", and "CARAFE" temperature settings.
- Strength Setting: Press the "STRENGTH" button to choose from three options: "L" (Low), "M" (Medium), "H" (High). Long press to cancel.
- Infusion Setting: Press the "INFUSION" button to choose from three options: "L" (Low), "M" (Medium), "H" (High).
- Roast Setting: Press the "ROAST" button to choose from three options: "L" (Low), "M" (Medium), "H" (High). Long press to cancel.
- Carafe Temperature Setting: Press the "CARAFE" button to choose from three temperatures: "L" (Low), "M" (Medium), "H" (High).
- Reheat Setting: Press the "REHEAT" button, then press "ON/OFF". An icon will appear under the timer. Long press to cancel.
- Tone Setting: Press the "TONE" button to toggle between Silent mode and Sound mode.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- After each use, discard used coffee grounds and rinse the reusable filter and filter basket.
- Wash the carafe and its lid in warm, soapy water. The carafe is not dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
5.2 Descaling (Monthly or as needed)
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale regularly to ensure optimal function.
- Fill the water tank to the 12-cup mark with a descaling solution (e.g., a mixture of white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling powder like Citric Acid Descaling Powder).
- Stir the descaler to dissolve it completely in the water.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press and hold the "CLEAN" button on the touch screen to initiate the cleaning mode. The machine will run a descaling cycle.
- Once the descaling cycle is complete, discard the solution from the carafe.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly with fresh water.
- Fill the water tank to the 12-cup mark with clean water.
- Run at least two more full brewing cycles with clean water to ensure all descaling solution residue is removed. Discard water after each cycle.
