4.2. Pressure Mounting (No Drilling Necessary)
This method is suitable for doorways and hallways. Not recommended for top of stairs.
- Position the gate in the center of the opening. Ensure the bottom of the gate is flat and completely touching the floor.
- Trace around the outside of each tension bolt's rubber foot with a pencil on the wall.
- Remove the gate from the opening.
- Remove the paper backing from one side of each adhesive mounting pad. Attach one pad to the back of each wall cup.
- Remove the remaining paper backing from the pads. Stick the wall cups to the wall in the circles you traced, ensuring the open side of the cup faces upwards. Hold for several seconds to ensure they adhere well.
- Place the gate back into the opening. Extend the tension bolts by turning them until they contact the wall cups on both sides.
- Tighten the nuts on the tension bolts by hand, starting with the bottom of the gate, then repeat with the top. Continue tightening until the gate is secure.
- Use the provided wrench to fully tighten all 4 tension bolt nuts.
- Cut the red zip tie that holds the gate door in place.
- With the gate door closed, ensure the upper latch is locked securely and the red pin is only slightly visible. Push on the gate to check for stability.
