4.1. NVR Connection

  1. Connect the NVR to a monitor using the provided HDMI cable or a VGA cable (not included).
  2. Connect the USB mouse to a USB port on the NVR.
  3. Connect the NVR's LAN port to your router using an Ethernet cable for network access.
  4. Connect the NVR power adapter to the NVR and plug it into a power outlet. The NVR will power on automatically.

4.2. Camera Installation and Connection

The cameras are PoE (Power over Ethernet), meaning a single Ethernet cable provides both power and video data.

  1. Choose suitable locations for your cameras, considering coverage area and power source proximity if using dual power. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy.
  2. Use the provided mounting screw kits to securely attach the cameras.
  3. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the camera's Ethernet port and the other end to one of the NVR's PoE ports.
    • For standard PoE connection, the maximum cable length is approximately 200 feet.
    • For extended range up to 660 feet, use the dual power supply option by connecting a separate power adapter to the camera in addition to the Ethernet cable.
  4. For outdoor installations, use the waterproof lid for the Ethernet connector to protect against moisture.
  5. Once connected, the cameras will automatically power on and connect to the NVR.

  2. Create a strong password for the NVR administrator account. This is crucial for security.
  3. The NVR will automatically detect and display the connected cameras.

4.4. Mobile App Setup (Remote Viewing)

To view your cameras remotely on a smartphone or tablet:

  1. Download the official WEILAILIFE mobile application from your device's app store (e.g., App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).
  2. Register an account and log in.

5.4. PTZ Control (Pan, Tilt, Zoom)

For cameras with PTZ functionality:

  1. In live view, select the PTZ-enabled camera.
  2. Access the PTZ control interface (usually an icon on the screen or in the menu).
  3. Use the on-screen controls or joystick (if available) to pan (horizontal movement), tilt (vertical movement), and digitally zoom in/out.

5.5. Two-Way Audio

The cameras feature a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication.

  1. In live view (via NVR monitor or mobile app), select the camera you wish to communicate through.
  2. Activate the microphone icon to speak. Your voice will be transmitted through the camera's speaker.
