Important Safety Information

Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials.
2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, non-flammable surface, away from curtains or other combustible materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the toaster.
3. Initial Use (Burn-off Cycle): Before first use, operate the toaster without bread for 3-4 cycles at the highest browning setting (7). This will burn off any manufacturing residues and odors. It is normal for some smoke and odor to be present during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Toasting:

1. Insert up to two slices of bread into the toaster slots. The extra-wide slots accommodate various bread types, including bagels.
2. Select your desired browning level using the rotary dial (1 for lightest, 7 for darkest).
3. Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.
4. Once the selected browning level is achieved, the toast will automatically pop up and the toaster will turn off.

2. Defrost Function:

• Place frozen bread into the slots.
• Select your desired browning level.
• Press the toast lever down.
• Press the DEFROST button. The indicator light will illuminate. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to defrost and toast the bread.

3. Bagel Function:

• Insert bagel halves into the slots with the cut side facing inwards.
• Select your desired browning level.
• Press the toast lever down.
• Press the BAGEL button. The indicator light will illuminate. This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.

4. Cancel Function:

• To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the CANCEL button. The toast will pop up immediately.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Crumb Tray:

1. Always unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Locate the removable crumb tray at the back of the toaster.
3. Slide the crumb tray out.
4. Discard accumulated crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
5. Push the crumb tray back into place until it clicks securely.

Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
