Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the Qulose Bluetooth Keyboard Case, designed to enhance your iPad experience by offering a protective cover and a functional keyboard. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper operation and longevity.

Compatibility

This keyboard case is compatible with the following iPad models:

Setup Instructions

1. Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's charging port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours.

2. Attaching the iPad to the Case

The case features a strong magnetic back shell. Align your iPad with the magnetic area of the case. The iPad will securely attach. To detach, gently lift the iPad upward from the case.

3. Pairing the Bluetooth Keyboard

1. Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on using its physical on/off switch.
2. On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
3. Turn on Bluetooth. Your iPad will search for discoverable devices.
4. On the keyboard, press and hold the 'Fn' + 'del' keys simultaneously to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will flash.
5. On your iPad, select "Bluetooth Keyboard" (or similar name) from the list of available devices.
6. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing and remain solid for a moment, then turn off. The keyboard is now connected and ready for use.

The Bluetooth 5.0 chip provides a stable connection up to 33 feet (10 meters).

Operating Instructions

Keyboard Functions and Shortcut Keys

The keyboard features a 14-key function row designed for iPadOS shortcuts, allowing direct access to various functions without using the 'Fn' key. These include:

• Screen brightness adjustment
• Print screen
• Media playback controls (play/pause, next/previous track)
• Volume controls (mute, volume up/down)
• Other iPadOS specific shortcuts

The 'X' scissor structure keys are designed for quiet, smooth, and accurate typing.

Auto Sleep/Wake Function

The keyboard case is equipped with an auto sleep/wake function to conserve battery life. When the case is closed, the iPad and keyboard will enter sleep mode. Opening the case will wake them up. The keyboard will also enter sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity; press any key to wake it within 3 seconds.

Checking Battery Level

To quickly check the keyboard's battery level, press the 'Fn' + 'cmd' keys simultaneously. Indicator lights will show the remaining battery charge.

Magnetic Clasp and Apple Pencil Compatibility

The case features a magnetic clasp that secures the case closure, preventing accidental opening. This design also allows full access to the Apple Pencil 2nd generation's magnetic pairing and charging area, with a side clasp for a secure hold of the Pencil.

Maintenance

To maintain the condition and functionality of your keyboard case:

• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For the keyboard, use a soft, dry brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris between keys.
• Storage: Store the case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Protection: While the case offers protection, avoid dropping it or exposing it to excessive force or liquids.

Troubleshooting

Keyboard Not Pairing or Connecting

• Ensure the keyboard is fully charged.
• Make sure the keyboard's power switch is ON.
• Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
• Re-enter pairing mode on the keyboard by pressing 'Fn' + 'del'.
• Forget the device on your iPad's Bluetooth settings and attempt to pair again.
• Restart both your iPad and the keyboard.

Keys Not Responding

• Check if the keyboard is connected via Bluetooth.
• Ensure the keyboard is not in sleep mode; press any key to wake it.
• Recharge the keyboard if the battery is low.
• Clean any debris from under the keys.

iPad Not Staying Firmly in Case

• Ensure the iPad is correctly aligned with the magnetic area of the case.
• Verify that your iPad model is listed in the compatibility section.
• Avoid placing objects between the iPad and the case's magnetic surface.
